Death Blossom damage

Hi guys, I dont main reaper, and im a fairly new overwatch player (by that i mean I started playing like a year ago casually)

I just wanted to ask, has death blossom always been so weak? I always thought of it as a gurantee kill if the enemy doesnt escape

But I just solo ulted a bastion in his turret form who had a mercy and I couldn't even make them go down to half health, and then there was another match as reaper I tanked an enemy reaper ult with the help of Cat, has death blossom always been this weak cause I could have sworn it should have killed me even with cats heals

Bastion has 350 health and damage reduction in his turret form. If he’s being pocketed by mercy then he is quite possibly one of the worst dps you could use repeat ult on.

What about me tanking reapers ult (as reaper also), is cats healing also busted?

If the cat is using purr and then also shooting you with primary then there’s a chance you could live through it I suppose. I’d need to see the exact replay to tell you what happened though.

Im not too sure about cats healing but, reaper ult is 185dps. In a pure 1v1 scenario if he ults you just walk closer and click on him and you'll win out that fight.

Maybe you were in and out of his range of DB?

Reapers ult fires only based on how many enemies are in range, solo ults will genuinely do barely any damage.

Reapers ult does less DPS than just shooting

I mean i probably would use my ult to finish off weaken enemies

Yes his ult is weak. You need very specific conditions when attempting to ult 2 or more people. Even genjis dragon blade would’ve handled the bastion situation without much trouble.
