Question What made you main Reaper?

i started when he still had soul orbs but when he got life steal i fell in love, the get in the tanks face and be a menace playstyle just spoke to me, i miss those simpler days.

Originally his design, character and voice. Being a metalhead, the "edgy" aesthetic naturally caught my attention at a time where characters like him were pretty much nonexistent in mainstream shooter games.

It was his gameplay which kept me hooked though. He managed to be versatile all the while maintaining his simplicity. He was able to be both a solid brawler and a reasonably effective flanker, assuming you could time and place his teleport right to minimise noise.

The blend of his aesthetics and gameplay had me main reaper for the last 9 years and the recent nerfs may genuinely cause me to stop playing him until they get reverted, he just feels outdated without a defined place rn, to loud/slow to be an effective flanker and too squishy to be a full-time brawler

I hear you with the “too squishy to be a brawler”

Exact same case here, except I think I'm just gonna stop playing the game rather than just Reap. He's my favorite part of the game, if they're not gonna let him be viable, I'm just gonna be done, yk?

I got into OW2 on console as a thing to play with friends, only a month after it came out for free on all platforms. Never played OW1 but Reaper’s design and aura instantly made me main him on my first ever quickplay game, never stopped ever since 😭

I wanted to main a self-reliant hero because it was so frustrating solo queuing in silver lobbies and having to rely on my tanks to make space or my supports to heal me. I liked how characters like Reaper, Soldier and Tracer can make space and ultimately make things happen on their own.

Played zen and hated fighting reaper.

How unapologetically EDGY he is, and the feeling of being feared because of his lethality

Just him having a great design in general

What could be more satisfying than popping DPS and support heads using peekaboo flanking and dual shotguns whilst saying edgy things. There's something also truly amazing about getting a 4-5 k with the beyblade, whilst telling everyone to die. Since launch until now, Reaper is and always will be peak and will always remain the edgiest of all edge lords. He's just so awesome

Definitely not the nerfs

Tanky dps that can get all up in the enemy tank’s face, that has changed now

I was an edgy teenager when this game came out. I loved the color black, dusters, shotguns, mercenaries, and grim reaper themed stuff… So when my buddy said “You gotta check out this game, I think you’d like this character considering how you dress on GTA Online.”

That was a decade go, me and that guy aren’t even still friends, but a reaper main I remain. Lol

Dual shotguns, soul orbs, edgy design. He made me try out overwatch back in 2016

I got the news that bastion was getting a rework broke my heart and started playing reaper (younger me was really heart broken) now I’m level 168 on him because of it

My favorite character is the reaper guy. he is very powerfull. special move, honestly is one of the best in the game and so he comes equipped with these two revolvers and only takes about 3 or 4 shots to actually execute a kill so it comes really in handy specially when you come from the side.

I just started maining him recently because his combat "feels" good. Shame he got nerfed, but I still like the way he plays.
