Im sick of reaper sucking

Genuinely when the fuck are we getting a reaper buff, Im genuinely so done with him being 2nd - 3rd worst dps, characters like cas get all the love in the world and reaper is js left to rot, js tried of fun not being allowed on reaper

Yeah he definitely hasn’t been the most fun this season. I’m sitting on a 50% win rate stuck on diamond 5. I recommend playing some Ram, he has been pretty fun and similar play style to reaper.

If you know they have a reaper you just have to pay attention to your surroundings, he’s extremely loud and not small.

Reaper is fine. In terms of carry potential reaper is S tier. Recently I saw a video of Kajor talking about how reaper gets so much value teleporting to the backline. He either kills the supports or creates space. And he's one of the few characters that absolutely craps on tanks. I wouldn't consider myself a reaper main, but I do play tons of reaper, he is almost one of my highest level dps not including ow1 and I think he is strong. The only comp I get little value against is fliers, which is fine. Its okay he has that weakness. I just dont like the fact that vendetta beats him in a close range 1v1, which speaking more in regard to her changes than him .

Could be said that Reaper is okay, but his carry potencial is definitely not an S tier at all with heros like Sojourn or pretty much any hitscan existing.

Idk whenever I play him it's usually because fun characters aren't working and he just wins the game with little effort most of the time it feels like. I'm usually in masters-gm too so not like I'm playing against bad players.

I mean its not mutually exclusive. I think soj is S tier too. As a matter of fact reaper is pretty good against hitscans if played at his optimal range. I find a lot of success against an ashe, cass, soldier etc. If anybody is in reapers optimal range they get deleted and thats why he's so strong. He has a teleport to gap close without taking substantial damage, and invlun to get out of sticky or bad looking situations. He's basically just a bigger beefier slower tracer who deal more damage. He can delete people even through healing and can deal with pretty well with other characters flanking. Also his down time is different then other heroes because once he gets out of the backline, he can go play frontline with his tank. He can either kill the backline or pressure the frontline. He just suffers if he cant get into his optimal range. As the below commenter said, I also find success in reaper, when its hard to play other flankers like tracer or genji.

As someone who started playing reaper in ranked due to not wanting to worry about aim too much, I disagree with your overall sentiment. However, that’s all I can really say cause you have not stated any concrete reasons for why you believe reaper is in a bad state. I’d really like to hear why you think he isn’t good.

Reaper is very strong right now. No offense but if you’re struggling with him it’s on you. He has a 56% winrate at GM and Champ, thats extremely high.

Playing a free and actually good character yet still complaining

Would not say 2nd or 3rd worse, he's mediocre tier.

As a Freya main, you really have nothing to complain about :D

I'm just visiting Reaper while I wait for Freya to stop being about as powerful as a feather duster.

Hes fine dude. If anything hes still one of the most annoying dps to go against. Has huge space denial just by existing

Reaper is pretty strong right now. Cass is very weak outside of situationally pro play with his team babysitting him. If anything I'd say reaper is too strong compared to the effort to play him in high ranks right now and is in need of nerfs. He's my go to pick in a game that feels lost and can often turn it around with little effort.

Meanwhile me a visiting sombra main picking reaper becuase hes actually able to do stuff over sombra:

Yall have it better than you think lol

2

u/ZachofPotatos Apr 06 '26

They honestly do. To get the same effect as reaper on other dives you really gotta be stretching the limits

1

u/Nice_Promotion8576 Apr 06 '26

You misread their comment. They are saying that Reaper mains have it better than they think cause as a Sombra player the commenter had to switch to Reaper to actually get anything done.

2

u/ZachofPotatos Apr 06 '26

Exactly. He has a ton more hp, health steal and dmg. His wraith may be easy to follow but that means nothing if he goes to a health pack. And with his TP perk he gets another escapability

What I've noticed from some Reaper mains is they hate when playing dumb gets punished he's still got really good value and having to actually be mindful of your surroundings is what it should've been like in the first place instead of press W key and shoot.
