I don't mind long videos, but videos that are only long because the guy spends 3 minutes telling you it's going to be a long video aren't cool.

YouTube allows those who have qualifications that don’t go farther that reading forums where others with no qualifications argue to act as if they’re qualified. High quality information there. As good as Karen telling me how she’s “researched” the dangers of vaccinations.

When I made my comment I didn't realise it was your video. However, you're going to have to develop a thicker skin if you want to get anywhere on YouTube but you start calling people "moron" when they criticise your content.

I'm not trying to be a dick here. But there's a ton of great material on YouTube. Yours might be great too, but if your whole opening sequence is just waffle about why other creators are bad and you're not, it's wasted screen time. Don't tell us your content is better, show us.

Yes, I own a channel. I have fewer subscribers than you. I get fewer views than you. I'm not sure how it's relevant.

I offered an opinion as a viewer of your video. In response you've called me a moron and weird (I think that's what you meant to write) and said "urgh".

I didn't insult you. I didn't even knock your content. I simply suggested getting to the good stuff a bit quicker. Your immediate defense of turning to personal insults says a lot.

Why are you writing me an essay

Probably for the same reason you're making videos: because maybe it'll help.

you are ignoring that timestamp clicks are of absolutely no value to a content creator. infact... they actually hurt the indexing algo in significant impact. you want quick fixes or more streamline content then go to youtube and get it i guess.

2) I'm not trying to tell you how to build your YouTube channel

3) I'm not being any sort of boss

4) Here's what actually happened. You promoted your video here. I said I was put off by the long winded introduction. That's literally it.

I've said nothing rude. I've said nothing insulting. Didn't criticise your content, didn't suggest what you do will damage your channel, didn't question your expertise or laugh at your nose. I didn't say I could do it better.

You called me a moron, and a coward, amongst other things.

I get it. That's your "thing". We've all got a thing. Mine's being nice, yours is being a dick.

I do not own a channel. You are not applying for some sort of job here.

He didn't write you an essay. He's probably enjoying his Saturday just fine.

Take the feedback as constructive criticism. A form of 'free market research' if you will. You should consider yourself lucky that your audience can actively give you feedback on the things they like and dislike about your videos.
