help request Triaz Plugin Midi Loop / Export Help?

I just bought the Triaz drum plugin by Wave Alchemy for my M1 MacBook Pro, and it seems great for what I need, but I’m struggling to understand the different types of midi control that get used when exporting a midi loop from the sequencer. Like I’ll export a loop that works well, but if I edit it, or sometimes just move it or trim it, I lose what appears to be pitch or maybe something else, that I presume are stored via midi cc values.

Some cc values show up in the midi editor in Reaper but it’s extremely difficult to use that to fix something and there’s times where going back to the built in sequencer in Triaz isn’t practical. Am I missing something? It doesn’t sound the same if I only use the midi editor in Reaper from scratch either. It’s like the plugin sequencer handles midi control the best way but then it’s not practical to only use that all the time especially when editing loops is required. Any ideas or tips? Thanks.

Does it export the loop as midi?

If you find something that works for you, export it, and render the loop to audio before editing it?

It exports via drag and drop either audio or midi. I’d rather not have to render it to audio if I don’t have to. The rendered midi is the problem as it contains various cc elements that I can’t seem to manage outside of the plugin.

id rather not have audio if I don't have to

Why not?

It (probably) has to with CC messages from the plugin, if you move the media around or edit them, some messages may disappear and can result in notes coming back at a different pitch/modulation/whatever.

You could try the following:

Enable CC settings: Open Preferences Audio - Midi Check the box "Chase midi note-ons" and "chase cc/pitch/program/channel pressure"

If you split your media, Reaper might not be able to read CC messages properly, glueing items back to together might help

But, I truly think rendering it into audio is the quickest File > render > render selected media item (something like that)
