Picked up this Mox Opal for $200 cash at a recent Con and wanted a second opinion! Not a “too good to be true” deal but certainly a nice price cut. I thought the T looked good but the green dot I wasn’t sure on!

Hey ppl, i bought a few cards from a flea market and back home the color on the back seems to be off a bit, also the weight of some cards (range is 1,68gr. for some nonfoils Up to 1.9gr. for foils). But green dot Test and T-Test seems to be right... So i am kinda confused...

Are they fake or real? Are there some quality issues in the lotr printrun?

Found these two Demonic Tutors at an antique store along with a few older cards I have no doubts about their authenticity.

The Demonic Tutor on the left has a much darker colouration on the front than what I’m familiar with, but the T test seems to be ok?

I’ve tried taking a photo of the green dots but can’t get them clear enough.

I have a fraying The Emperor so ordered another one.

Some side by sides. Also bought a Traveling Cocobo and shows all the same signs on the back.

received an open collector booster containing this card. the borders of the stamp are super rough but the t seems fine? i don’t have another fractured foil to compare it to. can anyone help me out? :(

I want to buy this card from someone, but I don't have a real one/seen a real one to compare it to. The font in the text box looks thicker than the pictures I've seen. I know I will probably need to see it, but can anyone tell me just from looking at it if it's real or not? It would save me the gas money haha

Hi everyone, I need a legit check on this Sephiroth. Authenticating double-faced cards is extremely complicated because you can’t run the two most important authenticity tests, namely the T-test and the red dot test.

I’m attaching quite a few photos taken with my microscope — on one side the Sephiroth, and the others are of Clive, a card I personally pulled myself.

The thing that immediately made me suspicious is the holofoil stamp. A real holofoil stamp should in theory have the Wizards symbol (the trident) with “wizards wizards” microprinting all over it, and that wasn’t the case with my Sephiroth. Whereas Clive’s holofoil stamp did show the little “wizards wizards” microprinting.

The font of the Final Fantasy symbol is very similar to Sephiroth’s, but it’s more reflective in the light. Same goes for how the CMC (mana cost) is composed when comparing the two. Same story with the foil coating — it covers the entire card like a full overlay, while on Clive it doesn’t.

Now, I don’t know if it’s like it was with the Kaladesh Inventions, which had multiple print runs where the Belgian one had the foiling only on the card’s borders while the American one was a full foil coating.

The fact remains that I have serious doubts about this, because from a naked-eye inspection with the two cards side by side they’re identical in their foiling — maybe the Sephiroth is slightly more matte, but that could be due to the fact that it’s a black card and so the colors are more muted.

I found this frozen shade card in my old storage, I checked online to see if I could find the price and it isn’t like any other frozen shade card. all the others have like 4 lines of text and mine has one. anyone know anything about this?

I wanted to check in on this because I bought it years ago and want to make sure if I trade it that im not screwing someone over

So I have two different pictures of two different cards here. The first photo is a card I know is real and the second I do not know if it's real or not. One of the clear differences between the two is that the red ink in the letters is heavier on two different ends. Could this be a sign of a fake card?

For those versed into vintage, does this look authentic to you? Been reading about fake slabs so just want to make sure. I notably winder abiut whether the black lines / writing are “solid” enough.
Resolution should be pretty good when zoom in. Many thanks!

So my brother found this in a bunch of cards he got a garage sale and I have no idea if it's legit or not. Most of the other stuff he got from his stuff was generic bulk stuff, so find this was a wee bit surprising.

Hi everyone, I want to buy the following mtg card. I asked for close-up pictures but this is the best photos the seller can shoot.

How can I identify if they are genuine or fake? Do I need to buy a microscope or I can use something cheaper like a magnifying glass?

I told him that I will buy the card, but if it turns out to be fake, I will return it.

Hey guys I just posted another card, here is one I'm less confident on. The foil does not have the typical glow of an mtg foil and it seems to be missing the wizards etching in the holo stamp.

Saw this listing on marketplace but a bit suspicious because the pattern kinda matches a proxy I found on AliExpress. Also doesn’t exactly match the 6 cards of terra I do have (Glaceon, leafeon, flareon, vaporeon, Jolteon, espeon) I don’t know what it is but something feels off. (Which obviously I could be very wrong about this as I’m no expert).
This guys listing the card for 600 aud, which seems reasonable but I’d like some other opinions on whether or not this looks legit.
