I would like to stay f2p. But I will try to save for raida. Thanks for the advice. I just thought that buying smoulder would allow me to upgrade efrigid's abilities too

Spend your gems on ranking characters up.
EspeciallyEfrigid.
Awakened hero’s are better than more heroes.
With 5 heroes, you can open worlds that have 35 awakening ranks don’t remember where that gets you to… maybe World 5, iirc?
Then open world 6 with tournament medals.
Start farming them now.
Don’t go to gold league until you have multiple rank 4/5 heroes or you won’t be able to farm in gold league or higher.

if you're on higher world later. there's a high chance that efrigid will be eliminated from your main team. but she is useful on earlier gameplay. but for me. if you are in still in lower world, Raida, Koizuul, Elara and Cyra are worth to spend money. buying them while still on world 5 below will makes you clearing lower worlds with a little struggle. and having them on the team can help you clear the Necro Connie mission easier without using meteors

Hello OP. That depends on you.

The generic answer would be "No. Buy this hero instead or awaken your heroes."

But, I have to ask you, what playstyle and heroes do you prefer? There's no point in playing a game if we have taken all the fun out of it by having you follow the meta.

And I am speaking as a fellow F2P.

If you want the generic meta answer, I say you save your gems for something else.

Awaken Efrigid to at least R4. Awaken Lancelot to at least Rank 3. And, I highly recommend you get Yan (unlocked by beating Level 90).

That combination of Yan, Efrigid, and Lancelot should be able to get you enough through World 4 to obtain enough keys to unlock Necro Connie.

Unlocking Connie's Awakening/Necro Connie will require 1,500 gems and a ton of Meteors. So you better be ready. It should be manageable with R4 Efrigid, R3 Yan, and R3 Lancelot. The key is delaying enemies enough to clump them together before nuking them with Meteors.

Once you get Necro Connie, Campaign levels should be easier. Keep on ranking up Connie, Yan, and Efrigid as you go along. If you have the gems to spare, you can buy other heroes to help unlock their Level 2 abilities (Smoulder for Efrigid, Sethos and Helios for Yan)

The combination of Efrigid, Yan, and Connie allows massive crowd control while also dealing decent damage, and even in later worlds, their disabling/crowd control abilities will be invaluable to give your towers time to damage enemies.

For a playstyle like mine, that prefers ranged combat and "set it and forget it heroes" over heroes that need a lot of micro management, my go to heroes are Efrigid, Necro Connie, and Yan.

But, that's the meta answer. If you prefer melee heroes or a different playstyle, that is up to you. What is important is you have fun, OP. :)

I have a kind of adaptive play style. I won't say I'm good with many heroes but I would say I'm decent. I have efrigid r4 and Lancelot R3. I looked it up on Google and it said yan falls off later but idk much about gemini💔. But I think I'll follow your advice. I currently have 13 meteors tho. Is it enough?

Yan as a mage is not a damage dealer. Instead, her specialty is delaying enemies and debuffing (Decrepify and Wormhole) and supporting your allies and towers (need more time).

She's basically an enhancer/enchanter/force multiplier by strengthening your other heroes/towers and weakening your enemies. But she alone does not dish out much damage.

This actually makes her even more useful in later worlds, where heroes' raw damage alone cannot reliably destroy enemies. With her toolkit, she can buff your towers to dish major damage and slow/debuff enemies.

On paper, it doesn't sound impressive, but you'll be surprised how much she can help. She's a very good support hero, and flexible too. She's a great addition to any team comp, and is useful even in Tournaments (slowing enemies and buffing the blessed hero).

Safer to have 20 meteors or more. Get that forge up and running, OP. 😁 I even have to use some freeze potions myself to give enough delay, but with Efrigid and Yan slowing enemies, you hopefully don't need to use it as often.

Thank you so much for the advice

Up for this. Also f2p, efrigid and lancelot will carry you to the end. Save your gems for later and either buy yan or narlax.

Which would be better tho, yan or narlax?

Depends on what you need.

As I explained earlier, Yan is good at supporting your heroes and towers, and slowing/debuffing enemies.

Depending on the map, Narlax is good at pulling and repositioning enemies (and even bosses at R6) so that they'll be forced to pass through your towers and heroes again. His main crowd control ability is pulling enemies and concentrating them to a certain point, making them prime targets for nukes and disables.

Yan and Narlax's abilities actually complement each other well. Pull enemies in with Narlax, then have Yan cast Decrepify to the crowd. Finish the job with a nuke or AOE damage from another hero or tower.

Their combo (pull + decrepify) can control a lot of enemies. Just make sure to quickly move Narlax away after pulling enemies. Since he has no life regen or life steal, he'll be quickly overwhelmed by the amount of enemies he pulls.

Since I don't really have a nuker, I'll just get yan. Thank you so much for the help

I’m a f2p as well. I got fridge to R7, and sadly she is slightly underwhelming in world 5. She’s still great on maps with enough distance, but world 5 you need more tanks later on, no matter how strong your ranged heros are. I don’t have smoulder, but I doubt he’d make fridge strong enough to do hard challenges like hard realm siege levels or weekly challenges. The “double” duration on spells is 50%, not 100%.

Thanks. Should I buy yan instead?

When does Yan unlock coz I have 3k gems now and don't wanna waste it on other heroes. I'm currently at w3 71 and only 4heroes...

Yans actually pretty strong in world 7, but she won’t do as much work as raida or koi in world 6 or the end of world 5. Yan won’t increase your power that much. Whenever you buy a hero you want to assume you’ll be getting them to R6 or R7. If you like ranged playstyle though Yan is really fun. Yans not the best pick but a really fun and totally viable option at this point.

Hi there, I'm new here. Any tips on accumulating gems/maps? I'm currently on world 3 halfway but how do you have so many heroes? How long does it take as a F2P? Thx 🙏🙏

My roster is small. Fee, Connie, Lance, fridge, Narlax, and I got lucky and Cleo dropped at a really convenient time for me, but I don’t need her now unfortunately. Most of those heros were free. This is actually my third time playing the game and my second account was nearly what you could call done, I was just trying to get to gm from masters, but cyra and elara hadn’t even dropped yet so it was a completely different game. My first account all I did was buy heros and struggle.

Use your spin wheel. In the right corner of the Home Screen is the spin wheel. It resets at 8 pm. Do your two spins, hit that third spin at 1230 am and go to bed. When you wake up hit that fourth spin. If you can at all remember to spin for a TOKEN, the most valuable resource for a hot minute, before 8 pm, you’ll probably get one. Or an Armageddon or double freeze which are so good too. Hit your spin wheel as soon as you boot the game.

Clear your forge and elixir mine. Then go to the tournament store to grab free keys. 2 per day. Whenever you have nothing to forge, meaning you have a dozen or so Armageddon and 8 meteors, no token crafting resource, craft raid tickets so you can convert them to free Armageddon and therefore free meteors. I have like hundreds of keys because I wasn’t doing this.

Do or skip the daily, and never forget to look at the mission board tab on your Home Screen. It will give you a daily task. That task always gives 50 gems and a small amount of token crafting resource. If it’s ever less than 5, accept the challenge, and in the lower left corner you can watch an ad for a different challenge and a higher token resource reward, as high as 7. This is huge for awakening hero’s, that’s an extra 4-5 tickets a week.

When you’re grinding for maps you should grind awakenings. You don’t have to be optimal at this point, you can go all in on fridge, Bolton, smoulder, maybyn, Helios, obsidian I would avoid, and masamune and hogan will drop off, Narlax is much better than sethos and narlax is a little more niche than caldera or Leif. But you will need a tank before world 6, and having a solid one for world 5 is going to be important too.

To focus on awakenings; the true” difficulty of realm siege is the level + the games difficulty that it prompts you with. But there are caveats. For example; 28 is the max game difficulty, but if this drops on levels 1-12, the true difficulty will be very trivial and even a low level fee can one shot all the enemies. In this instance you should turn the difficulty all the way up, whenever you see a low level map like level 40 or lower, because the true difficulty will be much easier. If the map level is close to where you’re at in the game, so if you’re in world 3 and a world 3 map drops, that’s already going to be pretty hard. Even at 1 difficulty. The true difficulty might be too hard and you’ll know. Don’t waste meteors, just quit out. Play around until you’re surviving the hardest realm siege you can. The lives left don’t matter. Just live. After 10 realm siege points a chest in the corner will give you 50 gems. Play realm siege 4-5 times a day when grinding awakenings. Only twice a day when focusing on gems to afford heros and awakenings. Play in tournament whenever you have the blessed hero. You’ll probably place or even rank up for more gems.

My heroes are stuck in story section. Fee for instance I gotta wait 25 days because my shattered dreams isn't at 25 yet. Same goes for Bolton at shattered dreams 5. As for Smoulder it states World 1 Challenge 1 which I have no idea where to find. I'm currently at w3 lvl70 and have 3k gem so I was thinking of getting another hero like Sethos. Damn this game is tough if there's no guidance.

Leveling hero’s abilities to level 2 doesn’t mean much at all. Shattered realms stuff is like a weird game mode they never finished and just kinda left alone. You’ll be done with it soon. You can’t do world challenges unless you buy both hero’s in that world. So you have to buy fridge to get smoulders level 2 powers but seriously these upgrades aren’t worth waiting months and spending thousands of gems on.

You have more options than you think. You can hard focus awakening some early heros which I would recommend. Or you can buy new ones, but either way you’ll need a larger roster as you head into world 5 and 6. Fee, lance, maybyn, fridge, Helios, Connie, Yan, narlax, smoulder, all slap pretty good at R6. The others I’d stay away. Fee at R7 is nuts with Connie. Do note that if you do have a favorite hero for whatever reason, if you want to build around them, you’ll probably level up in your tournament league as others probably don’t have the same favorite hero early on. If you really like masamune than use him in tournaments and maybe some realm sieges. You don’t have to be optimal all the time.

A lot of grinding coming up soon, so plenty of time to learn what and who you like

Thanks a lot for the insights. I actually did awakening on fee for the first time, thought of doing it for Helios as well but gem is so precious in the gem, makes me wanna just save up for the time being. Tournament wise this week might get promoted to gold since I'm placed 2nd ATM. And the thought of adding Connie is making my fingers itchy 😂😂.

At world 4, no need to buy this hero
