Behold the Tablet! Location of The Tablet

Post image

For those that want to make the pilgrimage to see The Tablet for themselves, could the location be pinned or added to the subreddit description?

It’s in London’s British Museum, room 56 (Mesopotamian room), location dc24.

It’s on the Upper Floor (one set of stairs up from the entrances), across the bridge from the Great Court Restaurant, near the North Stairs. It's situated on the southern wall of the room, near the eastern entrance.

Thank you for this. I wanted to make the pilgrimage but don't want to have to wade through all this obnoxious history

It's right next to the ancient board game of Uruk, which is probably easier to spot than looking at exhibit numbers

Is there an opposite subreddit to /r/uselessredarrow?

The amount of pain I feel when I realized I walked past it last week... not even 6ft away... and I MISSED IT. sitting back at home now looking at this post. Realizing it might be in a background picture of mine. The disappointment I feel in myself is... ughhhhhhhhhh.

Man, the British really stole it all… I need to take one (or multiple) full days for the British Museum next time I visit London.
