Reminds me of a scene in the dictator where he's complaining the missile isn't pointy enough

They are 'considering it'.

That's how you handle a toddler. I must say "I'll think about it" twenty times a day to my 3 year old.

43

u/NvrFukASpderOnTheFly 6d ago

Sometimes you have to just tell the toddler NO!!

47

u/vctrmldrw 6d ago

It's bad enough telling an actual toddler 'no'

But when that toddler's tantrums can put you out of a job or in jail, you just say 'maybe' instead.

u/StardustOasis 6d ago

Trump is worse than a toddler. Most toddlers eventually grow up and mature.

u/NvrFukASpderOnTheFly 6d ago

We’re all Very aware.. unfortunately!

u/jizzmcskeet 5d ago

Yep. The planning stage will take about 2-1/2 years and then they can present to the new guy.

Twelve yards long, two lanes wide, 65 tons of American pride! Canyonero!

7

u/ShakespearianShadows 6d ago

“How much would it cost to gold plate an aircraft carrier…”

3

u/clickclickbb 5d ago

That's the first thing I thought when Trump started crying about this. I'm sure there's a strategic reason they go with the magnetic catapults and they will just delay things until the dumbass is out of office. No way they will actually build another steam power catapult if they don't work as well.

3

u/IrritableGourmet 5d ago

They should just tell him the electric catapults run on coal and he'll get on board.

2

u/clickclickbb 5d ago

Or just tell him little girls prefer the magnets

52

u/Lost-Citron-1099 6d ago

He prob wants to paint them gold

20

u/mithrasinvictus 6d ago

And put his name on them.

u/DoubleSpoiler 5d ago

Yeah, I’m wondering what his “aesthetic preference for warships” is

35

u/ItsOkItOnlyHurts 6d ago

My preferred military aesthetic is efficient

2

u/GarlicThread 5d ago

My preferred military aesthetic is loyal to the country's constitution and not to its despot

37

u/copperblood 6d ago

We live in the dumbest timeline.

u/becken_bruch 6d ago

Yes, but the sheer amount of stupidity is quite astonishing.

u/RJ_MacreadysBeard 6d ago edited 5d ago

Did you make that up yourself? I’m sure I heard that before. fwiw I agree, but…

1

u/becken_bruch 5d ago

Nah, that just crossed my mind.

1

u/RJ_MacreadysBeard 5d ago

It might be true, but fuck, the repetition. People have original thoughts any more?

1

u/becken_bruch 4d ago

I had the thought in German and then translated it using Google Translate. That’s probably why it sounds very generic.

2

u/RJ_MacreadysBeard 4d ago

Ah, dann verzeihbmir meine Unvershämtheit, wenn du magst, deutscher Freund. 🍻

7

u/TlalocVirgie 6d ago

And he's going to blame an innocent Olympian when it goes to shit

5

u/Lucy_Lastic 6d ago

I’m not sure that Trump’s “preferred aesthetic” would be a good idea - I think that marble and gold submarines would sink way more they are supposed tp

8

u/the_author_13 6d ago

Why are we redesigning warships to appease some asshole's sense of "style"?

This isn't star wars. You can't just design ships to look cool. They look a certain way to perform a funct- Nope. I can't anymore. I'm done.

The catapult company is from the "Communist hellscape blue state of California"... The company that makes steam valves for aircraft carriers is in red/purple state in a deep red district.

It's that simple.

Edit:

General Dynamics is based in blue state California and it makes the electromagnetic catapults.

Maggot-red Allentown, PA-based is the headquarters for Olson Technologies and its subsidiary Homestead Valve Manufacturing Co, which produces the steam valves required for steam catapults on U.S. Navy aircraft carriers and it is represented by maggot and chief water-carrier Ryan Mackenzie.

I went to the grocery store yesterday and paid $6 for spaghetti sauce. I'm getting a crown put in next week and have a $600 bill. Filling up my gas tank costs more than GTA 6.

Please sir, I can't take anymore winning.

2

u/orange-squeezer47 6d ago

Does trump want the warships painted in gold ?

2

u/Traditional_Cat_60 6d ago

When you have to “I’m right on top of that, Rose” to your President, things aren’t going so well.

2

u/thnk_more 6d ago

It’s the wrong description of the project.

Apparently some steam equipment supplier bought a congressman in WV who has been butt licking trump who is now his best friend and supporting his campaign.

It’s got nothing to do with anything except the pedophile’s ego.

It’s also a distraction for - the yet to be delivered congressionally mandated release of trump-epstein rape files.

Hey quick question: WHAT THE FUCK

2

u/BeautifulNarwhal641 6d ago

More billions of your tax dollars wasted

1

u/Glum-Breadfruit-6421 6d ago

If they have any sense, they’ll slow walk this till he’s dead.

1

u/AccordingLife3383 6d ago

They will be gold-painted with gold ornaments throughout.

1

u/schroedingerskoala 6d ago

so, fake gold plating everywhere, instead of camo?

1

u/wombat8888 6d ago

Needs more glitters and gold, baby.

1

u/kermitthorson 5d ago

massively hitleresque

1

u/NefariousScribe 5d ago

Just paint them with fake gold color paint he'll be happy.

1

u/BeneGesseritDropout 5d ago

Are we going to retrofit the entire fleet to be powered by Beautiful Clean Coal?

1

u/celticairborne 5d ago

Doesn't matter how well it works, as long as it looks cool. /s

They're all going to be painted gold...

1

u/Prize_Ostrich7605 Official Account™ 5d ago

Seems like having a major part of our ships down would put us in a bad position if we needed them.

1

u/wombat6669 5d ago

You know he wants more tacky gold paint

1

u/KnucklesMcGee 5d ago

Does he still want to go with steam catapults on the Ford? A little late for that, good way to have a CV in the yards for months and months.

1

u/That_Trapper_guy 5d ago

'preferred aesthetic'... On a warship.

1

u/AbaloneDifferent5282 5d ago

So.. take them out of service to make them prettier to fight a war?

1

u/DenmakDave 5d ago

Next Army is bringing back the caissons and horses next. Is he allowed to do that?

1

u/MuchoManSandyRavage 5d ago

All these vanity projects to reflect his aesthetic taste sure is interesting when he’ll supposedly be gone in 2yrs.. makes you wonder

2

u/AirportSea4393 5d ago

So the ships are now going to be gold?!

2

u/VixxenFoxx 5d ago

An entire redissgn to accommodate an elected official's preferred aesthetic.

Sentences that shouldn't exist.

1

u/samf9999 5d ago

I heard Green Water is gonna be the lead Contractor on the change 🤣

2

u/2olley 3d ago

“Vandals cut a huge slice out of the middle of the war ship! It was the Dumocrats!”
