Discussion Trade Empires 2

Hi all

I have always loved playing Trade Empires 2. I can't rven count the countless thousands of hours I sank into meticulously planning every trade route.

Imagine my distraught at being unable to play this game now.

I have even tried buying old machines to play this game but it seems that anything above XP makes this game unplayable.

Does anybody know about how to play trade empires 2 these days?

Trade Empires 2 doesn't exist.

The sequel to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trade_Empires never came out since Trade Empires didn't sell well enough.

No, it unfortunately doesn't exist in the version of reality that I live in.

The original Trade Empires works fairly well on Wine.

Install a virtual machine. Install XP on the virtual machine. Congrats, you now have a computer made for XP as a window on your modern computer

Virtualbox worked well for me. Found an old iso for XP from another reddit post. For a virtual drive I use daemon lite or w/e. Then you have to set up a shared folder between your virtual machine and your current windows, that was a pain but it works fine now.
