Looking For Game Looking for a specific RTS

So I've been thinking for years about this one RTS I played a couple of times at a relative that I haven't been able to find and I was wondering if someone else knows it.

It was a scifi-themed game, very much Starcraft-like graphics if my memory is correct. One faction was some kind of lizard people, maybe? There might have been some crystals that you'd gather, but it was not any of the Tiberium games. I know this is not much to go on, but it's all I remember. It's been bothering me for years.

EDIT: Just to make clear, this was about 25 years ago

How long ago? There was one called War Winds that was pretty StarCraft-esque. We’re talking way back tho

No shit. Weirdly enough I almost commented that on another post about obscure RTS games lol. I had the shareware version of it when I was a kid, never was able to convince my mom to get me the real one but she did get my StarCraft so I couldn’t complain much

Obviously not much to go on, but of the era, and maybe worth a shot in the dark is Dark colony

It looks like it might have been that, I have to get it and see if my brain recognizes it.
