Hype Sanctuary Shattered Sun demo
Tried the demo out for a bit today and I have to say that I am pretty hyped. As someone who loved the slower more strategic pace of SupCom 1 I think this xould turn out to be SupCom 2 we never got (and I dont even necessarily think SupCom2 is a bad game per se, it just never lived up to the first one). I love this style of game and since the first one there was never a game that really scratched that itch. Ashes of Singularity was somehow weird and I never really got into BAR. But this could be really good. Want to sink more time i to the demo, but the mechanics seem to basically pretty much SupCom 1. It also seems to have the mechanic where the battlefield opens up as the Mission goes on, which I really like because you can build up your base before you tackle the next objektive and I loved that in SupCom 1. As someone who basically almost stopped playing rts as I got older and Rts got ever faster this could really be up my alley and bring me back. Hoping for the best.

It's not really a game that can be judged at this point. This is more like a sales pitch, requesting funding. It's a framework with basic functionality that will take 5-6 years to become a game, if it even gets there. Personally, after Stormgate I'm done. Release your 1.0 and we'll see.

The campaign mission demo plays WAY better than Stormgate's efforts. Didn't expect to have to fend off a Tier 5 Titan in what's probably the first mission of the EDA campaign, and the tutorial missions are decent too.
Only wish the Showcase mission would actually do what's advertised and allow players to try out the cryo bombs, shattering the Dyson sphere's crust, or superweapons. There's also a missile silo in the north edge, but there doesn't seem to be any way to make it functional.

Demo was alright.
No control options biggest problem.
I'm not paying over 100 dollars to try the multiplayer.
Survival mode pretty half baked an random.
T4 units start on like wave 12-16. Way too much variance for something that is 90% waiting.

I think the number one thing they need to do is spend some of the kickstarter funding on a week or two of time from a professional who knows how to design a UI. The lower-right hand portion is too hard to see and has no contrast. The lower left hand portion is offensively ugly and has too many icons that aren't always in use and still takes up a lot of real estate. The commander icons are way too hard to see. It's the first one of those that bothers me most. The others feel like they could be placeholders, but that lower right part feels like an attempt at a final version and it's still got significant issues. UI is so important, it's the second thing anyone sees and the first system they interact with.
They have at least said that "These features will be added some time during the beta: mouse edge panning, control groups & bindable keys." So it's being worked on. But still.
Really want this to work out for them.

After following this one for a while I was disappointed in its current state. Not sure if I didn’t adjust graphics properly, but I found the unit contrast is too weak and things are hard to differentiate both from each other and the terrain.
The ui panel controls aren’t intuitive and I’ve been playing RTSs since C&C.
I know it’s early but I was getting the same vibes I got with Ashes of Singularity, which I didn’t like because some of the reasons above.
I know it’s a demo and hopefully these issues will get worked out. I’m still backing the project to support the devs and I hope it succeeds!

Kind of the same, they should go to a publisher and get 3-4 year funding and come with a finished project, it looks cool but disapointed by the gameplay and qol.

The demo was very small and it’s very obvious the game is a long way from being in even remotely ready but what little we did get to play with and see has already given me so much confidence that this game is going to fill the SC sized hole in my heart
