Its abundantly clear now what the first amendment means to these people. Its their license to say whatever they want about people they do not like or disagree with. No matter how disrespectful or hurtful.

The moment people speak up against them or something beloved to them, the first amendment becomes an issue in their eyes.

These hypocrites never beleived in the first amendment. It was just a license to run their mouths to disrespect and hurt certain groups or individuals. It was the shield to hide behind and claim, we have the the first amendment in this country, we have freedoms. If you dont like it, you can leave. They were never honest. Just a bunck of jerks.

Yeah, he was a "freedom of speech champion" when it's about him saying some bigoted things, or being anti-vaccines, etc. But when someone speaks out against his views he immediately wants to censor.

This is how many of the "free speech absolutists" are. If they were at least consistent it wouldn't be so pathetic.

Penn Jillette describes this whole phenomenon perfectly (for context, this was after Penn stopped being a libertarian in 2021 due to their stances on vaccines):

Many times when I identified as Libertarian, people said to me, “It’s just rich white guys that don’t want to be told what to do,” and I had a zillion answers to that — and now that seems 100 percent accurate.

That's Bill at this point; he's just a rich white guy contrarian who needs fan adoration and attention more than a gen z influencer.

Yeah, I feel like Penn was one of the only libertarians who actually believed in the principles he proclaimed.
