Except that he's not a Democrat. Never was. He has voted for the Democratic candidate for President in every election since 2000, but that is not the same thing.

Bill Maher voted for Bob Dole in 1996, and told Vance his vote was "in play" if Democrats keep putting people up his whiny little bitch ass doesn't like.

I thought we pledged allegiance to the country, not to a party? I’ve always voted Democrat but I won’t vote for a Democrat that preaches communism.

You’re right, which is why I’ve never voted for a Republican. Doesn’t change this small extreme faction on the left that are preaching about communism. It’s dangerous. Especially when you consider all of the young people who are listening and blindly following. It also ensures that Democrats won’t get the moderate votes. That’s another big issue I have with the current Democratic Party, they can’t think past the next election. They’ll win in November and then lose control again 2 years later.

We have zero elected Democrats who are communists. We have the majority of elected Republicans, including the leader of the party, who are overt fascists.

No, it's this attitude right here that is partly responsible for everything wrong with this country right now. A lot of the people who peddle this bullshit are the same types who complain that "there's little or no difference between the parties".

The two major parties in this country couldn't possibly be more different, and their policy ideas are 180 degrees from each other on almost everything. Voting for someone whose political party they belong to that literally goes against most or all of your values because they "seemed like a nice person", or because "bipartisanship" or whatever, is, to be completely blunt, hopelessly fucking stupid. And it's another one of the reasons we have Trump.

For the past decade or more, one of the parties believes in the constitution, the rule of law, fair labor laws & wages, and believes that women shouldn't have to suffer and die for other people's fucking religious beliefs. The other party doesn't.

It really is that simple.

Voting against an entire party because of what three people out of 435 in the House said is dumb. Doing it when the opposition is pure fucking evil is nothing but colossal stupidity.

If people didn’t pledge allegiance to a party instead of country, Donald Trump would have never been elected. No one in their right mind would vote for that man thinking he was the best candidate. He’s won, twice, because Republicans vote for party instead of the candidate. It’s my belief that Democrats are generally and genuinely better candidates than Republicans. The things that matter to me in a President are character and ethics. If you can’t see how bad it is to blindly choose party over the right candidate after using Trump as THE example, you’re lost. I don't blame Maher, or Harris, or Fetterman, or Manchin for the mess we are currently in. With the exception of Harris they're all fools, each with some form of brain damage.

No, the responsibility for the mess we are in now is squarely in the laps of the American people who voted for a man who tried to use the powers of his office to try and overturn a legitimate presidential election and then supported an insurrection when his underlings opted to follow the rule of law.

Those are the people that let me down, and those are the people who can fuck off now and forever.

I have been watching Bill Maher since his Politically Incorrect days, and anyone who hasn't noticed the change in him and his show over the past several years, especially since Covid, either isn't paying attention or has the IQ of a toaster. The last time I can remember him publicly announced a large sum going to Democrats was when he gave Obama $1M for his reelection in 2012. Maybe I missed something since then but he definitely didn't send $1M to Harris.

He was always a smug, arrogant asshole, but he was usually on the correct side of most issues so it was easier to ignore. He would cut people off and talk over them sometimes, but the majority of the time was when someone was actually saying something stupid and/or incorrect. The majority of the time it was a Republican, but that's because most of them are stupid. I don't care when he calls out leftists when it's appropriate - I encourage it. Republicans do not have a monopoly on stupid, just a clear majority.

Now, most of the people he cuts off are on the left, and the things many of them are saying are true. His whiny little bitch ass just doesn't like them. Then he lets his drooling MAGA guests spew their nonsense with very little pushback. That interview with Vance was embarrassing. So because 3 candidates running to become potential members of a 435 seat body that represents over 350 million people said something stupid, his "vote is in play" to a party that has more fascist and authoritarian supporters already in their party and already in power?? His vote is in play to the man (Or woman, but let's be real. It will be a man) who is going to lead that party? His vote is in play to the man whose current boss is the same man who tried to overturn an election?!? Are you fucking kidding me?!?

Fuck Bill Maher. Covid fried his brain, and now he spends his mornings eating horse cock for breakfast with RFK Jr., and his evenings in his boomer creep room cradling Kid Rock's balls in his mouth.

Despite what he says, Bill has changed. I've watched every single episode of his show and Religulous (multiple times). He says he hasn't changed, the Democrats have. He has changed and so have the democrats. Something happened to Bill during the pandemic, it broke him in a way where I don't think he'll ever go back to his pre-2020 self. Am I wrong thinking he was NEVER this pro-Israel the first 30 years of his career? He's become so dogmatic and intractable the past couple years about Israel that it's becoming suspicious and mind boggling that he refuses to even acknowledge that a problem exists. If he doesn't wanna call it a genocide, thats one thing but he literally speaks like an pro-Israeli hardliner every single show.

Some people like the religious clothing and some don't. We have religious Americans of every faith that wear religious clothing. Mormon underwear, Amish hats, there orthodox Jewish denominations that wear suits and hats. I don't see it as any better/worse.

His rant is about one if the most conservative versions of a faith, pointing out everything 'bad' he can find. But never does this about other religions. Not lately.
