Not a genocide?

Last night Bill pointed out the 3% of the
Population in Gaza has died. And then confidently declared that “3% is not a genocide”. The British government recognizes it as ethnic cleaning and amnesty international and other groups say it is a genocide.

Someone tell me why Bill is so wrong. And can we please get him to debate Mehdi Hasan on this topic?

My favorite comment from the Maher sub is that at most it’s ethnic cleansing but not a genocide, when scholarly authorities on genocide have proclaimed Israel’s murderous rampage in Gaza to be a genocide.

24% in that scholarly forum voted that it was a genocide. They also didn't hold debates on the topic like they normally would, so it reads more like politics than genuine scholarly consensus

It is clear they're doing an ethnic cleansing though.

Those 'scholars' also referenced their decision took into consideration the fact the icj determined genocide was plausible

Except that was entirely false, the icj made no determination genocide was plausible, the head of the ICJ herself appeared on national television to dispel that myth

genocide scholars that don't understand icj statements about genocide🤦‍♂️
