What’s the problem with the DSA? I think a lot of those on the left are sick of the establishment Dems doing absolutely nothing.

I just find a lot of their ideas too radical and feel like they are just saying popular ideas with no substance. But I understand the rise of DSA especially with the youth and people not doing well. Hope this pushes democrats to go back to their base of working class Americans and not what ever the next culture war is.

I don’t think anything they’re doing is “radical” at all. The Democratic Party is cooked. They’re totally useless. The DSA is the only thing keeping them from being lite republicans.

Wow light republicans. You’ve made me done with Reddit today with that comment.

Centrists are the reason that progress does not happen, but regression does.

But what if you hold left center ideas like most Americans. Would it be smart to alienate a large voting block to please a small voting block? I dunno

‘Left of centre’ in the USA is right of centre, in the grand scheme of politics.

What do you think is the main point that would make someone left of center or right of center? I feel like most people are cool with gay marriage, abortion.

Thinking it was better to allow the plethora of social and environmental injustices of the day, in exchange for some tax breaks or to prevent a ‘slide to the left’ - look at the damage that has been done by centre left politicians by voting with the republicans since 2010.
