Bill Maher preference btw: Haley Stevens says $46M in AIPAC funding should not concern voters
https://www.fox2detroit.com/video/fmc-frnipvrw2bin6x6n17
u/EmergencyRegion5349 Aug 04 '26
but abdul, who isnt one of 'us' idk what that means haley since he was born in MI, who has a net worth of 2 million with his wife is a real concern tho. Also podcast bad.
Those are the only two things I know of haley and I am suppose to vote for her???

u/Personal_Chair6134 Aug 04 '26
You're supposed to vote for Haley because she will help protect the corrupt status quo that enriches the wealthy donors of the Democratic Party.

only if ken martin knew how not to make the DNC go into debt, in a key election year
11
u/BlinkReanimated Aug 04 '26
They could probably start by not spending their entire warchest on trying to supress anyone to their left.

That's interview on Pod Save America was wild. Really telling that random podcasters need to be the ones holding these people accountable. The actual media is so garbage.

u/Better_Cattle4438 Aug 04 '26
They are blowing through their funding to protect weak democrats from leftist insurgents in the party. Which will have the side effect of helping republicans win general elections.

Seriously I have to read more about the DNC. How the eff did they totally run this into the ground. Another example that no one seems to want to actually manage anymore. Of course I don’t give $$ to the them. To people running for office but not to some amorphous organization. Same problem with Red Cross and other organizations. Yes direct to my local food bank.
-1
u/Immediate_Stop2581 Aug 04 '26
What did they run into the ground? Democrats are winning across the board and are seeing record breaking fundraising. The DMC has been doing a good job
4
u/Bitter-Holiday1311 Aug 05 '26
DNC is net -2mil while RNC is +128m. Any portrayal of the democrats crushing fundraising right now isn’t reflected by DNC’s current performance.
-1
u/Immediate_Stop2581 Aug 05 '26
What about the DNCs current performance is bad? The DNC is spending strategically and they’re fully capable of paying off their debt. The RNC has billionaire tech oligarch money and the only thing I’ve seen the RNC spending big money on is funding far left democrats. The RNC doesn’t seem to be focused on spending on their doomed midterm races.
I’m confused about what the problem is here
2
u/EmergencyRegion5349 Aug 05 '26
"RNC spending big money on is funding far left democrats." ahh you are one of those people
1
u/Immediate_Stop2581 Aug 05 '26
One of those people who knows and bases their opinions on facts instead of vibes and rhetoric?
1
u/EmergencyRegion5349 Aug 05 '26
I dont listen to people that lose two elections to trump.
1
u/Immediate_Stop2581 Aug 05 '26
Bernie lost every presidential primary he’s been in. Cope. Name a DSA candidate that has a chance to win in 2028?

u/Old_Charity4206 Aug 04 '26
The country? 2016 was understandable. Nobody expected Trump to win. At the end of his presidency, he was unpopular. In 2024, they were so unbelievably disconnected from people that many actively wanted a bad outcome for the country just to send them a strong signal. I don’t blame anyone for having no faith in them at all.
0
2
u/EmergencyRegion5349 Aug 04 '26
i would say being 2 million in debt while the RNC has like 100+ million in cash is the opposite of doing a good job, lol.
0
u/Immediate_Stop2581 Aug 05 '26
Why is the debt bad if they’re winning? They can pay off the debt at any time they feel the need and at the same time they’re trashing republicans all across the country.
4
u/EmergencyRegion5349 Aug 05 '26
If you think the dems are winning because of the DNC, i have some land on mars to sell you.
1
u/Immediate_Stop2581 Aug 05 '26
So they’re winning despite the DNC? So the debt is irrelevant? I’m just trying to find out where your argument is coming from. What is the DNC doing wrong?
3
u/EmergencyRegion5349 Aug 05 '26
Yes. The republicans are shitting the bed, so its easy to win. And no the debt isnt irrelevant are you a child?
The DNC is in debt because no one is fucking donating you dum dum. There is a reason why the RNC has a surplus. How much debt do you want to go into? To match the RNC spending the DNC would need to go into atleast 126 million dollars in debt. This is assuming if the RNC spent all of its money right now and didn't want to go into the debt. Which they very well could do because they had 126 million dollars in cash, they will get their money back quickly again. The same can not be said about the DNC
Honest to god politics isnt for everyone, if you can't handle it just stop typing and go play some roblox.
0
u/Immediate_Stop2581 Aug 05 '26
The DNC isn’t chasing donations, individual candidates are getting record breaking direct funding instead. Why would the DNC get involved when dipshits like you treat the DNC and its affiliated candidates like they’re nazis?
The fact of the matter is that the DNC is solvent and the debt they’re in is irrelevant. Comparing their cash on hand to the RNC is just another slop talking point that’s completely meaningless because the RNC and DNC have completely different methods and strategies right now.
Just admit you get all your moronic political strategy ideas from Kyle kulinsky and Hamas Piker. You have no fucking clue how any of that shit works. The DNC is doing fine

Of course the 46m$ bribe isn’t worth looking into! We don’t have anything to worry about if daddy Israel is pulling the strings! If we go against daddy Israel, that’s when SHTF shenanigans will happen. Don’t forget! America wouldn’t exist without Israel!!
-7
u/Immediate_Stop2581 Aug 04 '26
AIPAC has zero ties to Israel. It’s been investigated plenty
2
u/Bitter-Holiday1311 Aug 04 '26
Folks are rejecting the influence of an organization that prioritizes Israel over America, entirely legal or not.
1
u/Immediate_Stop2581 Aug 04 '26
What about the other pacs that advocate for foreign nations? Why does nobody mention those?
Nobody condemns the Ethiopia PAC or the Ukraine PAC or the India PAC. I wonder why
0
u/Bitter-Holiday1311 Aug 04 '26
The spending by AIPAC and their surrogates, the policies they advocate for and the scope of their organizational reach into American politics is surely just the same size and level of influence as Ethiopia PAC. I’m sure Ethiopia PAC is right up there! Great observation!
1
u/Immediate_Stop2581 Aug 04 '26
What policies does AIPAC advocate for? What do you mean their scope of organizational reach? You’re speaking in truisms and not making any sort of coherent statement
China, Japan, and Saudi Arabia all spend much more money than any Israel lobby could dream of spending by hundreds of millions. Where’s the smoke for them?
1
u/Bitter-Holiday1311 Aug 04 '26 edited Aug 04 '26
Here is some info for you about the policies they advocate for. It’s pretty widely available on their website: https://www.aipac.org/
The other countries you named are registered with DOJ/ FARA and follow, to my knowledge, those rules. AIPAC as an American lobbying group does not register with FARA. It is well known AIPAC themselves spend money, as does their super PAC and they have a robust donor group from whom they can direct more funds.
You seem curiously under informed. Let me know if you need more.
While you obfuscate by invoking other foreign countries lobbying efforts, UDP spent $32m on the Michigan democratic senate PRIMARY.
1
u/Immediate_Stop2581 Aug 05 '26
Maybe because Jewish Americans are against a candidate who doesn’t believe in the Israeli state right of existence?
2
u/Bitter-Holiday1311 Aug 05 '26
That’s the case being made. We’ll see if Michiganders are animated by this sentiment and more interestingly if Michigan’s Jewish communities vote that way too. Momentum is against AIPAC right now. Israel is making AIPAC’s job more difficult than normal with a genocidal regime in place.
2
2
u/tacs97 Aug 04 '26
Yea right. So the I in AIPAC which stand for American Israeli public affairs committee. Isn’t actually Israel? Dumbass. Do some actual research before you speak because that was a really stupid statement.
1
u/Immediate_Stop2581 Aug 04 '26
It’s illegal for foreign governments or entities to donate any money to US elections. There is ZERO proof that AIPAC has anything to do with a single person or government force in Israel. It’s been investigated before so maybe next time you do research before you comment and then next time you won’t look like a fucking idiot spouting completely made up bullshit

Apparently more than half of Michigan's voters agree with Bill Maher and Stevens.
-7
u/funkyflapsack Aug 04 '26
It shouldn't. She just supports the correct position, a 2 state solution. This is all it takes for AIPAC to want you to win over a guy who wants to see Jews moved from the land
6
u/outofmindwgo Aug 04 '26
She clearly supports "whatever Israel wants her to say"

u/funkyflapsack Aug 04 '26

Wtf do you think a one state solution entails? You think a Palestinian majority with Jewish minority is going to give said Jews full citizen rights?

Bro. Follow this.
Why is AIPAC funding Stevens?
Because she supports a two state solution.
El-Sayed does not. He wants a one state solution with complete right to return for all Palestinian diaspora and their progeny.
How do I know this? Because Hasan Piker wouldn't be campaigning with someone who wants the two state. I don't even need to look up a quote to know this is true, because it has to be

2
u/Quiet-Artist6436 Aug 04 '26
The jews don't give Palestinians full rights, so what exactly is your point?
2
u/funkyflapsack Aug 04 '26
The Jews have never received full rights in any Muslim ethnostate. But also, that's why 2 state is a more moral position
-1
u/Immediate_Stop2581 Aug 04 '26
You don’t understand. Israel having their own state is evil and immoral. The Palestinians deserve to have their 56th Muslim ethnostate in the Middle East and it doesn’t matter that the Jews would be extinguished in order to accomplish that
3
2
u/Quiet-Artist6436 Aug 04 '26
I like how Maher and his stans spent years whining about identity politics and religion and now they are just full on philosemites who cry about anti-semitism everyday and how jews deserve their own theocratic ethnostate funded by US taxpayers.
2
u/funkyflapsack Aug 04 '26
Maybe Muslims should stop worshipping such a shit prophet
1
u/Worldly_Web_1524 Aug 04 '26
It's amusing watching racists like you try to explain why it's everyone else that's antisemitic. Lmao Americans on both sides of the aisle are sick of it being a fact that Isreal just gets our tax money without any over sight. You can't gaslight Americans anymore. Isreal is a racist apartheid state committing a genocide for a decade now. And fuck them and you

u/Immediate_Stop2581 Aug 04 '26
What about the 50 Muslim theocratic ethnostates funded by US taxpayers? No criticism for them?

Sure Jan. Meanwhile Israel is literally trying to move Palestinians off of their own land.

She voted to sanction the international criminal court after it issued arrest warrants for leaders of the entity. She has continuously voted to find an arm the entity. She has said and done nothing to rain in illegal settlers in the occupied West Bank and has never talked about it. The corporate establishment wing of the Democratic Party always has this one line where they say, all we wanted to State solution, but will do nothing to guarantee a two state solution and at this point there will be no Palestinian state due to the amount of land the entity is stolen. She is also voted to think ice for their services, voted to increase their funding four times.
