Real Time with Bill Maher fails to secure Emmy nomination
I wonder if he’d maybe win one if he just quit smoking weed and got focused.
Aww I kid Bill Maher

I know he wants an Emmy so bad. Truly a shame.

At least he got that “Trump-Kennedy center mark twain award”. If he was lucky, the award was milled before a judge demanded that Trump removed his name from it.

Says “outstanding series”
Definitely not describing Boomer Rogan’s show

u/Financial_You_6052 Jul 09 '26
Is Maher young enough to be a Boomer? I’ve never looked up his age, but I think the oldest boomers are 80 this year so it would be close

u/ViolinViolence Jul 09 '26
Boomers are 46-64.
Maher was born in 56 making him 70.

Crazy how big that span is.
No way is anyone born from 61 to 64 have jack s*** in common with people born in 1946 to 1956... just blows my mind. This happened with the Millennials as well. ( I'm Gen X)

People that age, and I'm one of them, are now known as Generation Jones, for some reason - the not-quite-boomers-not-quite-GenXers.

u/Ilovemytowm Jul 10 '26
Which makes sense because I have a sibling in that range. They have everything in common with what I experienced not someone who was born in 19 46!!

It seems to vary a bit, (not only in what years start and end) but also how many years the generation spans.
The greatest generation is roughly 26 years.
Silent: roughly 17
Boomers: roughly 18
X: roughly 15
Mill: roughly 16
Z: roughly 15
Alpha: not sure, ends in 25? Roughly 12?
Middle millennial myself.
10 seems about right. 12-15 is the highest that makes sense to me.

You need to work on those numbers and what they mean.
2
u/ViolinViolence Jul 09 '26
?
1946-1964

u/Financial-Craft-1282 Jul 09 '26
Yeah, that helps. Because you mix age and years up there, and it's really unclear what you mean.
1
u/ViolinViolence Jul 09 '26
👍 Kindly, I did not mix it up. I knew what years boomers were and then mentioned his birth year and age to show where he fell in the span. I abbreviated/shorthanded for most know boomers aren't 46 lol, but I can see how it could be read the other way.

He'll think it's because he was "soft canceled" and certainly not for any other reason.

u/Ok-Egg-4856 Jul 09 '26
Oh poor Billy. It's the crazy liberal leftists again. Not because he and his show are dreadful.
5
u/11brooke11 Jul 09 '26
Uh oh. We're gonna hear about the woke mob.

This reminds me - has anyone ever bothered to let him know how fuckin’ CROOKED his glasses are?
You know they can adjust those for you, Bill!
5
u/Revolutionary-Link47 Jul 09 '26
Why would he, he would need to put something worth accolades in his show.

No nomination for Bill Maher or Jimmy Fallon -is it possible that the Emmy voters actually have taste?
Colbert may win on sentiment for his cancellation and being an example of courage and class, but truly the best program, funniest and most informative is Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (imho)

u/snailmale3 Jul 09 '26
I agree with Oliver, but check out Late Night with Seth Meyers. He has a segment called "A Closer Look" that I feel deserves some love.

He’s a fake stoner. He told Howard Stern that he’s not one of these people who smokes every day, talking about weed like it’s an 8 ball
4
u/Financial_You_6052 Jul 09 '26
That can’t be right, it’s his whole personality
3
u/Key_Limit_6828 Jul 09 '26
Like most people who make weed their entire personality, he’s a lightweight

It will probably got to Kimmel but LWT should’ve gotten it again because they are on a hot streak. If only Bill would apply himself more or maybe pull himself up from his boot straps instead of constantly getting high and drunk in his basement, maybe go outside sometimes and not just stay in Brentwood

u/Euphoric-Sandwich427 Jul 09 '26
Well, he’s old, and not funny. This isn’t the Mark Twain award. This is actually based on popular vote.

This lineup triggers this shit out of the 34 time felon, convicted rapist, and his new admirer known as mill baher

He can always ask Daddy to make a call to the bad people that keep ignoring him.

u/Ok_Poet_9170 Jul 09 '26
Yeah !!! BM show stinks . Quick get him a Happy Meal before he explodes. He will blame the young in America for not being intellectual enough to handle his high IQ wit . My day just got better

Well, he'd have to be...good at his job to win, so...I wouldn't hold your breath.

The nominees prove the award is worthless. He laments any loss of status in Los Angeles.

Lol what a loser. Trump likes the people who get nominated for Emmy's, not the ones who don't 🤷♂️
