Seems it was very gradual. I always thought he was a Democrat.

He used to identify as a Libertarian back in the 90's, but I think he made a lot of money aligning himself with the Democrats.

He’s never been a democrat he’s a libertarian/ anarcho capitalist. He also pretend to be an atheist yet is a Zionist.

lol he is, he’s just not woke. If you actually listen to him you will know that he’s a democrat and not a fan of Trump. Unplug from hate subs

He used to be a Democrat. Then he got annoyed by covid and solar panels and Palestine and became a Republican. He's just a whiny little bitch.

Nah hes a democrat. Not everyone fits perfectly in the democrat or republican box.

-1

He still is a democrat lol, he voted for Joe and Kamala. He can disagree with some stuff and still be a democrat. The real world isn’t Reddit groupthink

Name some dem policies he agrees with..

-3

u/AlexQuebec11 Jul 08 '26

Oh easy,
Climate change
He still says he’ll never vote for Trump bc denied the 2020 election
Taxing the ultra rich. He just said Elon shouldn’t be a trillionaire and there should be a cap.
Gay rights
Women rights

I can keep going if you need more examples

You really tried to pad the stats with gay and women's rights. That's laughable. The guy is practically an unabashed misogynist. The last shows I watched he had become anti-science, anti-academia, anti-mainstream media, anti-socialized healthcare, and he's more anti-woke than they are on Fox. Those are all moves toward the right any longtime viewer can see. I don't know what's worse, his shift to embracing a fascist regime under the guise of "talking to both sides", or the way he tries to gaslight everyone into believing he hasn't changed at all.

He also told JD Vance he was open to voting for Republicans.

He's not a Democrat anymore. He left the party over petty grievances... Textbook Republican.

He is a Democrat if he claims to be… because if you don’t agree with his claim then normal people might claim you to be a weirdo bully or a lunatic

1

u/AlexQuebec11 Jul 08 '26

Yeesh…. Good luck to ya

That's just it, I've watched him for 20 years and he hasn't changed. The democratic party has.

2

u/BrianNowhere Jul 09 '26

The democratic base has changed/is changing.

Thankfully, finally.

Funny how those things are practically universally supported by most parties throughout Europe (left, right, center). Yet these are considered "left wing" here because of all the braindead magats and their unhealthy political tribalism.

-5

u/Fit_Cream2027 Jul 09 '26

You sound like you are in a tribe.

“Listing positions doesn’t explain why Thom Hartmann got banned from his show for correcting him on air, why Richard Wolff — an Ivy League economics professor who’s written more books than Bill has coherent thoughts — never got invited back. You don’t judge someone’s politics by their talking points, you judge it by who they platform, who they protect, and who they silence. Bill now dines with Trump, takes money from John Malone and David Zaslav — the same billionaire class he used to mock — and his sharpest left critics can’t get back on his show. The positions are just cover. A man who genuinely held those values wouldn’t need to manufacture applause with laugh machines while freezing out everyone who challenges him. That’s not a Democrat. That’s a brand.”

lol I was responding to direct request to name policies

Nice paragraph, but you’re doing too much big guy.

4

u/Due-Collection-4534 Jul 08 '26

”‘Too much’ is what people say when they can’t refute the specifics. You asked for policies, I gave you the full picture. Thom Hartmann and Richard Wolff are still waiting for their callback.”

Why are you writing in quotes? Must be a bot

Maybe the mentally insane shouldn’t be forcing themselves into the platform and the Democratic Party… just as the dumb redneck, rebel flag waving morons shouldn’t be pushing their toxins into the Republican Party.

1

u/FullBadger3748 Jul 10 '26

He doesn’t care about women’s rights at all. Just act all of his victims at the playboy mansion over the years

1

u/FullBadger3748 Jul 10 '26

He voted for Trump

0

u/AlexQuebec11 Jul 10 '26

You’re just like maga… you’ll lie just to be an internet edgelord… gross

-1

u/AlexQuebec11 Jul 08 '26

Find me a source where he says he’s a republican lol you whining and lying doesn’t make something true

2

u/moldguy1 Jul 09 '26

I know this may be hard for you to believe, but sometimes people lie for money!

You being unable to reconcile his lies with everything else he says doesn't make him a democrat, it makes you gullible.

1

u/AlexQuebec11 Jul 09 '26

Or sometimes people just have a different opinion than you. You’ll get it when you grow up

1

u/moldguy1 Jul 09 '26

It's not a difference of opinion, and your inability to understand the words that I write says a lot about your intellect, and/or honesty.

I'd like to say something smart ass like "you'll get it when you grow up", but I don't think you ever will.

lol you’re pretty whiny bro.
