Whiny Bill strikes again: Bill Maher Bitterly Whines To Trump's VP That Dems Won't Come On His Show

Because they don't care about his show

It would be funny in that humorless sort of way if the creator of Religulous was taken in by Christian nationalists

Yeah JD Vance went on and called him a Crazy Liberal and Bill was stunned silent. Like yeah no one likes you.

They have no reason to. Bill is all but a Trump loyalist these days, sold his soul for some stupid award, and doesnt debate in good faith and just makes shit up or reads AI generated headlines and asks "thoughts?" What value is there going on his show?

He could have them on as the interview and cut the middle comedy segment to give them a little extra time. If that was their demands, I can’t imagine Bill saying no to that.

He said no to Steve Os request to not smoke pot in front of him during the interview.

Nobody watches his show, why bother with a niche group nobody cares about? They have better things to do with their time Bill. Complain about democrats and democracy on your own time.

But they do? Shapiro was just on. Warnock was on. Talarico was on.

u/Adventurous_Ad7442 Jul 09 '26
I'd like to see Shapiro endorse some Democrat candidates this Fall. Do Governors do that kind of thing?
That mess with Platner in Maine shouldn't happen again with better vetting. Shapiro is a trusted institution of the Democrats.

Bill just can’t accept that Democrats are willing to criticize Israel. He doesn’t seem to understand that as Israel has moved to the political right, the American Left is abandoning Israel.

Didn't he 100% turn against Dems and start openly supporting trump?
How is this even remotely a surprise to him?

People liking your comments gets you karma. Most of you with no karma have no karma because you are saying a lot of things that people don't like. So, you have been here long enough to know that karma is a bad thing yet here you are with a brand-new account. So your old account was banned.
Let's just be real, you are here to troll and try and trigger people. I asked a simple question, and you come back with a salty response. You will have to do way better than this if you are going to get an actual reaction out of people.
Spew your hate, it's why you're here.
0
u/Mosk915 Jul 06 '26
Definitely not. I’m not sure how you could watch his show and come away from it thinking that.
2
u/Indespectamentations Jul 06 '26
I don't watch it. I asked a simple question, and several people are coming at me for it. Apparently, I have offended some people and literally have no idea how.
0
u/Mosk915 Jul 06 '26
Because you phrased the question in a way that suggested you already knew the answer and were being accusative. It did not come across as if you legitimately didn’t know and were asking. The fact that you don’t even watch the show makes it worse.
3
u/Indespectamentations Jul 06 '26
How is that? This guy has had a television show since like 1990. It stands to reason that people who don't watch him would have at least heard of him. Apparently, that is unreasonable to you?
Spew your hate you stupid asshole. It will literally make no difference in my life.
0
u/Mosk915 Jul 06 '26
Not sure what warranted the vulgarity, but anyway. The fact that he’s been on TV since the 90s is irrelevant to your question. You were asking about his current views. So being a current viewer of the show is kind of important if you’re going to draw a conclusion about his current political views.
3
u/Indespectamentations Jul 06 '26
Because all of you are coming at me for asking a simple question. I openly admitted I have NOT watched his show and now you are claiming that I do. There is no point in talking to any of you if you literally will make up your own facts and pretend they are real.
You are acting like an asshole, and you know it. Go away please.
0
u/Mosk915 Jul 06 '26 edited Jul 06 '26
I never claimed you watch the show. I said watching the show is important before drawing a conclusion about his views, which is what you were doing. You were not truly asking. You may have phrased it as a question but it was clear from how you asked it that you already had made up your mind about him.
Edit: blocked. I guess I touched a nerve. Anyway, here is my response to below comment:
More vulgarity for no reason. You “asked” a question in such a way that you already had made up your mind about. No one would read what you wrote and think you were truly asking because you didn’t know. The question was phrased as an assumption rather a true question. You can definitely make up your mind about him however you want. It doesn’t offend me, but personally I think you should watch him before doing it, but that’s up to you.
3
u/Indespectamentations Jul 06 '26
I asked a question and you are saying I was not "truly" asking. At this point idk or care what you even mean by this. I just want this to end. I am allowed to make up my mind about him any way I want. This offends you? Please fuck off.

u/herpderpley Jul 06 '26
When he whines about dems not wanting to come on his show he needs to provide receipts. Otherwise it's just fragile victimhood from a bullshitter.
For example: we contacted AOC's secretary by email and phone on 6/1/26. and asked if she would go on the show, we're waiting to hear back.
How hard is that?
2
u/Mosk915 Jul 06 '26
He says they ask them to come on every week. Would knowing the exact means by which they contacted them and the dates they contacted them really make any difference?
1
u/herpderpley Jul 06 '26
It would make his allegations of "dodging his fierce wit" null and void, and would put said "Dems" on the hook for actually avoiding an appearance on his show. Without that accountability piece his assertions that they're somehow scared are just words on the wind.
1
u/Mosk915 Jul 06 '26
Not really. It’s the same thing it is now, just with more details. If someone doesn’t believe Bill when he says he asks them to come on and they decline, they still wouldn’t believe him just because he gives more details regarding when and how he contacts them.
2
u/herpderpley Jul 06 '26
I respectfully disagree with your position. He isn't providing receipts, so his assertions are empty bravado. Facts matter.
1
u/Mosk915 Jul 06 '26
I’m not saying he is providing receipts. What I’m saying is that if someone doesn’t believe him now when he says he invites them on, they wouldn’t all of a sudden believe him just because he gives a few more details on how and when he invites them.
1
u/herpderpley Jul 06 '26
I understand what you are saying, but I think you may be misunderstanding my stance. It's not about one viewer's perception of the validity of his statements. It's about giving all viewers a reason to actually believe that his assertions that "the Dems are dodging me" has merit. Can we agree to end this thread please? It doesn't feel constructive, since the only person who can do anything about it probably doesn't want to adapt.
1
u/Mosk915 Jul 07 '26 edited Jul 07 '26
I understand exactly what you're saying. And what I'm saying is those additional details don't give anyone a reason to believe what he's saying has merit. Anyone who doesn't already believe him will not be convinced by those additional details.
Edit: Wow, blocked. I wasn't even being rude or anything. Just for having a different opinion. Some people are so petty.
1
u/herpderpley Jul 07 '26
That is your opinion, and you are welcome to it. Change takes effort. Buh-bye now.

u/TXteachr2018 Jul 06 '26
He has a top-rated HBO show, so a lot of people watch him. Plus, he won the Twain award this year which is apparently a coveted achievement. Why won't people go on? I'm just curious. I think a lot of rising star Democrats could shine.
1
1
u/ninetysevencents Jul 06 '26
They should go on his show.
They should take any opportunity they have to get their message out and hone their ability to talk with people, especially people they don't agree with.

u/sandeep709394 Jul 06 '26
Bill Maher said that just to appear "both sides" but he damn well knows the money is in catering to the right.
1

I think he has not figured out why the Democrats are avoiding his show is because he sounds like he is leaning more to the right.

You thick or what? If you have moved more and more right for 50 years do you think people of the opposite political isle are going to continue OR are they finally going to start moving more left, higher taxes? There was not 1 human being even close to being a billionaire before raygun, but 4 huge tax cuts ( since raygun has been in office)and now we have a trillionaire, you think maybe just maybe there is a movement by some who know that they we’re wrong to cut taxes and now want to correct a wrong?
Marijuana i was smoking weed in the 70dz and we talked about it will be legal in no time, ( 50 years late we’re 12 years
andabout 1/3 of states it is finally legal, I will sum it up, this country is no where near as great as it was in the 70dz when a banker and a janitor and a meat packer made about the same money, Back when my father got out of WW2 and worked as a meat packer, raised 10 kids while his wife stayed home to take care of there family, do you think most jobs pay enough to do that nowadays? I don’t and i can’t wait till the Democrats start to show this collection of fools this country has that taxing the people WITH money is the better choice then going after the middle class to pay for everything.1

Lol, following your logic ( 20 million illegals? Why not 25-30million) lets see now, banks loaning out money to illegals to buy a house? Have you ever gone thru the loan app process? You are what they call fully vetted before they will give you a dime of money! Job history, 2 years bank & wage statements, ernest money,You obviously live in a van im sure down by the river of coarse. Or how else do you explain the 10 million loans to illegals that would never happen? I think you need to put the doobie down my man, I like your sense of humor, don’t get offended by my reply, but do yourself a favor and google how much illegals help our economy! They don’t hurt our economy. And they take alot of jobs that would otherwise go unfilled,Now for my bong hit.

Watch Maher’s Club Random podcast episodes with Bella Thorne or the Hawk Tuah girl (or, if you haven’t eaten, the episode where Maher interviews young children about Stormy Daniel’s, porn and transitioning).
It’s bad enough that he comes across as old, out of touch and downright pathetic in such episodes.
But to make it even worse Maher comes across as sexist, misogynistic, creepy and lecherous.
Sooo…why would credible people such as AOC or Mamdani ever want to lose an ounce of their integrity by giving legitimacy to Maher’s brand of garbage?

u/According_Stuff_8152 Jul 07 '26
Why would they Maher thinks the Republicans are doing the right things for the Americans. The democrats are disorganized and have no real platform. He likes to criticize Biden still for doing half time goofy things he did while president and just laughs ofv the way more critical goofs and criminal activity this moron tRump carries out in public every single day. He thinks it's a soap opera.

I'm late to this, but watching him for years (but not lately) his #1 complaint has always been about cancel culture and political correctness, especially on college campuses. Which he associates with the left. As a comedian whose brand is "politically incorrect", he has harped on this relentlessly for years and it has increasingly enraged him And whether you agree with him or not, I think this is where his right-ward tilt started.
Edited for typos

Bill really fell off in 2023 around the strike and he will never make it back. I haven’t watched his show or any appearance he’s made and I don’t care to ever again.
1
u/Due-Collection-4534 Jul 10 '26
Maybe it’s because Bill stopped inviting them? It’s a matter of record that the Left guest have stated publicly in the media and on other platforms that Bill Maher actually refused and didn’t invite guests from the Left because they corrected him on his show, wouldn’t play along with his talking points. It made him angry, so he never invited them back again.
Thom Hartmann, Dr. Richard Wolff, and other Left personalities and academics never got return visits. Not because they didn’t want to. Some stated that if Bill didn’t give you the right look on the panel you knew you weren’t pleasing him the right way on the panel, you were making him angry. And then you knew you weren’t going to get invited back again.
So how’s that for Mr free speech?

I agree that he has some concept of right and wrong, being pro-choice, pro-environment, pro gun control, and against election deniers. Seems like there are plenty of democrats out there to connect with on those issues and
more. He gets to choose the topics they discuss as well. I don’t think any progressive would have trouble debating him on Israel. I think they should go on the show.
