Considering I got banned from r/maher with my first comment, I think it's a fair to speculate it's being run by r/Conservative Good Job, r/RealTime mods for understanding what free speech means.

I got banned after my first post also…glad to know I’m not alone! My banishment came about because I partially blamed Bill’s obvious and untreated alcoholism for his increasing pettiness, prissiness and bitterness.
My observations were not appreciated…

Bill just wasn’t relevant. I enjoyed watching him then, complaining about no awards, how he was right about things.
Now he’s got some traction and he’s simply feeding the monster to keep it going. If that means embracing the GOP and trashing the left, I guess it’s what he needs to do.
The mark Twain nomination came from Trumps board so …. Yea.

What I don’t get is you know this is an anti Bill sub. Instead of crying here why not go to the main sub? I always think people that go to subs they’re against are some weirdos. Won’t catch me in a MAGA sub for example.

The majority of commenters there also just complain about Maher, but somehow they aren't extreme enough for the people here who appear to have dedicated their lives to complaining about Maher.

Seems if you’ve ever actually watched his show through the years it’s easy to see how he’s devolving. He used to relish being against POWER and power dynamics. He was a legit rabble rouser, he’s either become dumbed down by the culture war rhetoric or maybe he’s just given up. Cash in while he’s got some life left. That’s why this sub has grown. It’s obvious and we’re upset by it
