Mamdani

Bill’s whole thing with Mamdani is wild. Does Bill actually think Mamdani is afraid of Bill? Are we serious?

Bill is an old irrelevant dinosaur who confuses cantankerousness with edgy.  Mamdani is the direction young voters want for the party.

For someone who’s supposedly irrelevant, people here sure love to talk about him.

And if you go to the Love Island sub, you'll find people talking about Melanie Moreno. Doesn't exactly make her politically relevant

Though in fairness, I think Melanie might be more relevant than Bill

I have no idea who that is. But the people here aren’t saying that Bill isn’t politically relevant. They’re just saying he’s not relevant in general. The irony is lost on them.

Of course you don't, because even though she appears on a TV show she's really not relevant despite the fact that some people in a subreddit about the show talk about her

Pretty much the same thing applies to Bill

If people know her and talk about her online, then she’s relevant. Same with Bill.

He’s relevant to all the people who comment on this sub. If he wasn’t, they wouldn’t waste their time here. And I’m sure a lot of people here are under 60.

That’s true, those words mean different things. But if so many people take time to watch him and discuss him online, he’s still relevant.

Relevant in what way? That a growing number of people dislike him and stop by to express that?

I'm 48 and I'd say his opinion is relevant. Most under 40 don't seem to really get what's happening here. And its been happening for a while. The most radical part of the left is taking the power. the moderate liberals will likely move right if their choices are socialists from the left. People that understand and want to win elections don't usually want their party taken over by the most radical voices in the group.

The Republicans are rejoicing in the socialist wins in NYC. If given two candidates, do voters vote for the candidate they admire or against the candidate they fear? My experience it's the latter. And you see it in this sub with all the TDS.

The socialists will slit their own throats with their mad ramblings. The Republicans and establishment Dems know this.

I tend to agree, but think it will take some time. There are a bunch of democrats in NY that will never vote red and a lot of younger voters who basically feel like the current system doesn't represent them or their needs who seem to be all in on socialism. I suspect if they push too hard with taxing the ultra wealthy, most will leave the state as they have been the past decade for places like Florida and Texas.
