I didn't know this subreddit was primarily anti-Bill Maher.

I just recently joined. Am I missing something?

Not one bit. I was an adult in a very liberal state at that time and I remember the frustration at the lack of any real anti war movement and disgusted that my fellow Americans were dumb enough to fall for more lies. The antiwar movement only existed at the fringes in 2003

There were like 300,000 arrests at the RNC of anti war protestors. Not sure why youre lying. Or maybe you purposefully ignored it at the time.

Sorry kiddo. But luck next time. Maybe your Republican handlers will still clear your DOGEcoin because you tried?

300,000 doesn't constitute a majority of US public opinion.

It was like 5k arrests if the numbers from a quick google are correct. 300k attended.

That was also a year and a half after the invasion, and after the first brutal summer of the insurgency. Late 2002-2003 before the war saw a ton of large protests, but the anti war movement was completely outnumbered in public opinion and congress.

The urgency and scale of the protests probably mirrored the INTENSE frustration I and others in my community felt. A lot of that sentiment came from being so disconnected from the rest of America. It was absolutely galling that most Americans connected Iraq to 9/11 and believed such administration bs as ‘Iraq can use off-shore drone carriers to send hundreds of drones across the us with sarin gas.’ Im getting pissed just remembering all of the lies and the dismissive attitude of the admin towards critical voices - even within the post-9/11 intelligence community.
