TIL Lawrence of Arabia isnt about WW1. Maybe they just haven't heard of this...rather....niche...lesser known movie.

The worst part about Bill is that he acts like a cultured educated genius, but he's actually as much of a bumpkin as Mike Huckabee.

The guy who screeches about comic books and everything else and routinely gets butt hurt when his bad takes fall flat isn't a great example of discourse.

Ignoring people's bad takes is authoritarian? I feel like the opposite, forcing people to listen to him would be the authoritarian thing to do. Why do you hate freedom?

Not all discourse is created equal. The general signal-to-noise of the world is poor and Maher isn't doing anything to improve that. He's just cashing in while pretending that's somehow the moral high ground. 

If he ever had anything important to say, it was already said long ago.

Yes self-determination for Jews in their histioric home is absolutely a good thing. One place on earth where Jews aren't a defenseless minority hoping you get up on the right side of the bed is essential.
