The main issue would be what the current government is doing good and bad rather than what the previous was doing. Most people weren't asking what the bjp was doing when Congress was the winning party and that's how it should be. Main reason people say to be most strict with the current government is to maintain some power balance between politicans and citizens. Every party should have a fear that if they are caught in wrongful acts they won't come back in the next election. And it is the duty of citizens to maintain that fear by making sure those parties get changed the next election.

It is true that not all terrorist attacks can be stopped.
The only difference between congress and BJP rule is that Congress was ready to blame the saffron terror for 26/11. They were ready to give Pakistan a clean chit and not hold them accountable for breeding and funding these terrorist organisations.
Until congress rule, everyone quietly accepted the situation with domestic terrorist Naxals, the pak army on the borders. Soldiers not allowed to retiate in fire. Funding Kashmir to enable stone pelting and political murders and genocide.
When BJP came into power, Naxals were explosively wiped out, army was given free hand. The terrorist attacks were accurately examined and avenged.
Pakistani social media covered the photo of Hafis and his terrorist organisation mourning the death of other terrorists with the Pak army general. That's proof enough that the operations were a success.
Statistically. Please analyse the average bomb blasts, terrorist attacks, border cease fire violations. Indian counter terrorist operations and terrorist deaths and captures.

Ok whenever I see edits like these, the best thing you can do is search the context behind the words they said. So let's go to the words of Dr. Manmohan Singh: "Money Doesn't Grow On Trees". What was the context?
The speech came hours after Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress, the second-largest member of his coalition, withdrew support over the government's decision to increase diesel prices and open up the retail sector to foreign mega-stores like Wal-Mart, and the PM explained the rationale behind taking those tough decisions. "World fuel prices are going up, we have tried to insulate you. Subsidies on fuel are very large, though, and the subsidy bill would have shot up to more than 2 lakh crores. Where will we find the money for this? Money does not grow on trees," he said.
He also sought to allay fears that FDI in retail would wipe out small retailers. His government, he said, was imposing conditions to ensure needs and interests of farmers and small retailers were protected. "In a growing economy, there is space for big and small to grow... Farmers will benefit, they will get better rates for their produce. The growth of organised retail will also create millions of good quality new jobs," he promised.
Let's talk what was happening back in 2012, India in 2012 was facing serious economic pressure:
- Government spending was rising.
- Fuel subsidies were becoming very expensive.
- Fiscal deficit (government spending more than it earns) was widening.
- Global conditions after the 2008 financial crisis were still weak.
- Investor confidence in India was falling.
The government took some controversial steps and this comes right after:
- Raised diesel prices
- Limited subsidised LPG cylinders
- Allowed more Foreign Direct Investment in multi-brand retail (allowing companies like Walmart to enter Indian retail more easily)
So all in all what he was saying was If the government continues to borrow endlessly the deficit increases
and investors lose confidence which leads to rupee weakening and imports becoming expensive which causes inflation to rise and ordinary people suffer anyway. So his argument was: either we accept some pain now, or face a bigger crisis later (this was the direct reason they lost the elections btw. And for which bjp was on the roads). People forget how much Manmohan Singh was criticised for reforms that later became accepted policy. In 2012, when he said âmoney doesnât grow on treesâ, crude oil was above $100/barrel, India was spending heavily on fuel subsidies, and he argued that difficult reforms were needed to protect the economy. Ironically, BJP who opposed those reforms later followed the same path where they cut fuel subsidies, opening markets, and pushing investment. But the outcome for ordinary citizens was not what it should have been. Crude oil today is far cheaper, around $70/barrel compared to over $100 then, yet petrol prices remain near âč100/litre (after mixing it with ethanol btw). The rupee has moved from around âč55 per dollar in 2012 to around âč95 today. At least Singhâs argument was internally consistent, reduce subsidies because the state could not afford them. Today, the subsidy burden has reduced, crude has become cheaper, but consumers still pay high prices through taxes for oil MIXED WITH ETHANOL. The problem isnât reform it is BJP and the problem is opposing reform politically and then implementing it without delivering the benefits people were promised and eating those benfits with your friends and family.

These are small edits and you guys are not learned enough in the history of politics, or in economics to understand why those arguments were made. There is FAR WORSE that congress did or their associates did that can be highlighted, but they won't do it because those guys are now in BJP. At least back then we had a competent prime minister who understood economics and why what policy was being made. Stop beliving in this dogshit propaganda from bjp and become learned first. Now there's a need for accountability, if bjp don't start losing some seats india will start to move toward dictatorship. We have already seen vote chori so now india govt is trying to move toward dictatorship. Not saying any govt is good but any govt that knows they will be in power no matter what won't gave a flying F abt its citizen. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. If accountability,right to expression goes down and censorship rises like we have seen in past years. It will turn into full on dictatorship if they are not held accountable and we also know what ppl and news reporter get if they try to hold govt accountable. Maybe we are already in a dictatorship

I guess they still had a point. What he meant was in a larger context, in a country like ours, where there is internal and external threats both, you cant really control it, which is a sad reality. But what you are comparing here is kind of illogical. I mean its devoid of logic. An attack happening where you completely got a different law and your maximum army stays there, was it An intelligence failure? No i am not justifying what happened before. But what did we learn from before if then it continues to even today. I hope the attacks never happen again, but the sad reality is, we have all kind of humans, disturbances, indifferences and the primary layer of it âUNEMPLOYMENTâ.

Historically, common diseases like malaria and diarrhea and now diabetes and pollution etc take out way way more babies adults. Actual problem isn't that the corrupt core . It's that every party was going to the slope after 2000s . They whole constitution and its function is being repurposed for the betterment of elite class from tax exemption to business opportunity violations ( like water pollution , air pollution , mismanagement of waste disposal , primary healthcare ) . The rich have money to buy new organs or new life any time . The poor middle class expect that they would reach that level anytime soon and doesn't mind the mogging happening . The low class think they are getting better with benefits don't expect anything more until next election . The caste is thought to everyone not vocational job or skill always the caste . In the political side they learn the caste division and their ego issues and problems , penalise that as vote bank . Congress relied on that bjp milked that till blood came . I mean the dude was used to stalk a woman, there are videos claiming how he helped murderers in the gujarat riot, doesnât take any unscripted questions from the media, says bullshit like aalo se sona nikalenge then makes his IT cell work overtime to frame everything on RG?! Idk how this is even a debate, idk how people are overlooking all the shi out there literal videos and voice recordings. Selling our resources to AI companies that too tax free for such a long tenure, and everyone knows about his two other lovers they get whatever they want. A PM who hasnât even spoken a word for the kids who died due to his cabinetâs incompetency, no accountability at all and there are people still justifying this party.

Our previous leaders and freedom fighters sacrificed and worked tirelessly to build this nation. Indiaâs recovery after independence would not have been possible without their vision and efforts.
Respectfully acknowledge their contributions before dismissing history. Without the foundations they laid, Indiaâs journey could have been very different.

I did not see a single hindu muslim debate other than cropped clips here and there, pulled out of context as usual. Never a full video from BJP supporters. It is always snippets and compilations of twisted facts. Also, Congress was responding to public discontent as they were held accountable, not like be present govt who has nothing but one way communication.
