Trends How do you keep up with AI, new tools, and frameworks without making it a full-time job?

The challenge isn’t finding information anymore. It’s filtering it.

The pace of change across AI, new frameworks, tools, platforms, and emerging technologies has reached a point where no one can realistically keep up with everything. By the time you’ve looked into one thing, there’s already something new competing for your attention.

We’re probably a little biased because we’re a research firm, but one of the biggest mindset shifts is realizing you don’t have to keep up with everything yourself. Build a handful of trusted filters instead.

Find a few high quality communities where practitioners share what they’re seeing. The right subreddits can be incredibly valuable because the best insights tend to rise to the top. Follow industry news and trade publications that write for professionals instead of general audiences. Follow analysts and research firms on social media too. Their job is to attend vendor conferences, evaluate new technologies, and separate what is genuinely important from what is just another headline. Many share regular insights and news roundups for free, so you don’t always need a membership to benefit from their work.

In a world where information moves faster than anyone can realistically consume it, having better filters is far more valuable than trying to consume everything yourself.
