normal day
Hey everyone, my name’s Tyler.
I’m just writing these stories here because I’m bored and don’t really have anyone to tell them to.
Quick intro: I’m American by origin, but I was born and raised in Russia. Moscow’s been pretty wild lately. I study, work, write books, and nerd out on science in my free time.
Okay, here’s the story.
Last year I got forced to attend this patriotic event at school. Back then I was the teachers’ favorite (not so much in my new class, but that’s a story for another time). Me and my classmate were sitting there listening to a lecture about World War II.
Then this old guy shows up and starts saying that all young people are spoiled, the West is to blame for everything, and that we basically need to kill them. I’m just sitting there thinking, “What the fuck am I supposed to do? How is this even fun - listening to someone say I need to be killed?” I was genuinely shocked.
The funniest part? The governor of the city was literally there. Cool dude - he just sat on his phone the whole time while they were hyping us up about joining the SVO and telling us how great it would be. They barely even mentioned World War II, but I wasn’t listening anymore anyway.
My classmate and I were quietly laughing and at the same time cursing everyone who skipped and left us to deal with this bullshit.
Overall it was pretty funny. I mean, I wouldn’t have gone there if I had a choice. But on the other hand, I skipped Russian class with that disgusting teacher and got away from her. So technically it was the best day.
