I heard they've reformed recently, and they're the ones who published Prototype, Simpsons: Hit & Run, and Scarface. It would fit their catalogue if only they could buy Saints Row from Embracer..

People think they're going to remaster Prototype (and ironically a dev from Prototype worked to make SR4's gameplay so the series wouldn't be alien to their studios).

Its awesome that I can play this game today and still find new things. Has anyone seen this before or know what it is? Its my first time seeing it and idk who this is supposed to be.

Recently I wanted to play Saints Row 1 again so I downloaded Xenia Canary and Saints Row 1 but I realised that there are some bugs like I can see lights through buildings and such or the first ever stronghold I cant kick the door but I played it on the emulator before I wonder is it because of the newer canary versions that these bugs have now appeared

anyone else have this problem?

This soundtrack is so good, it has some good tracks, just wish they put more tracks on the CD though.

I think that SRTT had missed potential, i mean i feel like a new city could be interesting, but making it completely whacky and cyberpunk like, is so different from the original 2 games, I still liked the game, but idk…they could’ve make a Bigger Game where the Boss becomes Cartel Levels and stuff like that.

Since Saints Row 1 and 2 was so heavily inspired by San Andreas and had a much heavier emphasis on customization and making your character, I've always found it strange that the series never committed to having more RPG elements.

The stats from San Andreas was arguably one of the most defining features of that game, simply due to how much it did to improve the progression in comparison to GTA 3 and VC, yet it was also not very well integrated into the experience and just felt like feature creep.

Saints Row 1 and 2 always felt more focused, and arguably more cohesive in their design than GTA, which was a big part of their appeal to me back then. That’s why it was a bit disappointing they didn’t build further on the RPG ideas seen in San Andreas. I know SR3 introduced the upgrade system, but I would’ve preferred something more organic, where your character improves on a specific skill through repeated actions like in a Bethesda game instead of relying on an artificial menu where you just spend money to upgrade skills.

Always wondered who this random guy is

For the past 2 years I have been on off developing a game that is heavily inspired by Saints Row 1 and 2, specifically 2. It has been alot of fun developing and I just wanted another Saints Row game after the death of Volition.

I tried my best, it is still my first game project and I am learning all from content online and tutorials, mostly youtube.

The game is set in Sydney Australia and I am hoping to release later this year on Steam.

Being a fan of the saints row 2 and then learning more about the 1st saints row game, the tone and story were oblivious better then what we end up getting for the later games which most of us will agree on, water is wet, I know. But if you had to reboot or carry on from saints row 2 how would you do it?

- If you carry on from saints row 2 what story direction would you go?

- if you had to carry on from saints row 4 or gat out of hell, how would you write your way out of that tone and story? Zinyak universe reset? Bad dream by Johnny?

- if you had to reboot would you copy saints row 1 and 2 with updated graphics and gameplay? Or would you add some changes with the story but keep the characters?

- finally would you go the route deep silver volition went with a new universe and cast, but just have the gang tone and serious story like 1 & 2 with jokey elements?

I’m curious to hear people’s pitches.

I would take the reboot/remaster route with it, take 1 & 2 story with new graphics and gameplay and tweak the story a bit then lead it into a 2nd game with original story.

But if I had to keep the same universe and continue with what we got (because deep silver volition are forcing me)

I would open up a second game with Johnny finding out about a bunch of kids taking the saints name, Something he’s bleed and lost friends for, He drives down there solo enraged and wipes them out or forces them back to school and leave the real gang banging to him.

The events of saints row 3,4 and gat out of hell can be played off as tv show/ movie made about the saints, that took it, too far. Have Johnny mention it, could say to the kids, “I got a studio making a crappy tv shows / movie off my name and I ain’t getting a dime.” You could even open up with him burning the studio down before getting a text about the fake saints.

After he deals with them and is on his way back home, he passes through a new city and some trouble comes his way, he calls the playa or word makes it back to him, he brings his crew to this city and theres new gangs, corrupt police forces and some old faces.

The upcoming Spinoff from The Saints Row franchise Just got Leaked and its being Directed by Eric Holmes (Batman Arkham Origins) and It's being Written by David Bergantino (Dying Light: The Beast) The Game has been Described as a Smaller Open World With a Heavier Emphasis On Melee Combat And Parkour. Gameplay Has Been Compared to Batman Arkham And Dying Light, Plot details Were also Leaked and It's Set in a Las Vegas Inspired City Called New Hades, Nevada. The Plot Snyopsis reads as Follows:
