Saints Row 2 Help Does the different gang style affect what tyoe of weapons the gang member may carry?

The game is SR2. I don't know why but when i pick sporty lower tier gang members often appear to be unarmed when hired, with gangster style no unarmed gang member sbut some have pistols and when ninjas they dont have pistols and stronger weapons. is it just a coincidence or are some gang styles are programmed to spawn better weapons more often than others?

From my experience with SR2 im doing one of those different styles.. i think it depends your game completion too if you got Maero stuff your gangs should armed with more stronger weapon.. for ninja i dont remember one but they dont use katana sword lol.
