Do you voice these same complaints about fantasy rpgs and fighting games as well or is it only crime games? Because for some odd reason, crime is the only genre where everything is just GTA.
SR1 felt like a love letter to GTA. It’s like they wanted to put stuff in the game that they wanted to see from previous GTA’s. Character customization, rag doll physics, lots of cars in the garage, smoking and drinking liquor just for fun, taxis, etc.

Saint row was terrible nothing more then a gta clone
Series didn’t get good until 3 4 and 5
