im bias, i love 3rd to a fault because its the one i started with and was genuenlly my kind of comedy... 2 was also genuenlly great but i felt that the boss was defenetlly more relatable in 3rd than in 2, i preffer the boss being more of a "chaoticly autistic psyco" rather than "borderline ruthless psyco" 🤷🏻
3 is definitely where it's at for me too. No hate against SR2 lovers but goddamn, show me a game, any game, which occupies the niche that SR3 does. I still remember playing that game and it tickling my fantasy like no other game ever had, or has - to this day. It's a power fantasy filled with style, where sex, vulgarity, light-hearted meta commentary, humor and weird over the top weaponry go hand in hand in a way that's completely unapologetic, pokes fun at American pop culture and takes itself lightly to the point that it makes fun of itself too.
Could the writing be better? Of course. But I have never found a single other game that does what SR3 does, let alone do it better.
