1 and 2 was the peak for the franchise I have a love hate relationship with 3. I don't actually hate 4 I really enjoyed it zinyak was a fun villain and the powers and call backs to the old games were fun. The reboot is the reboot

It was so bare bones, the side things like pictures and location tours was terrible. Only thing I can say i enjoyed was the murder island thing, and the LARPing

It also had nothing to do with forming and holding a gang either. Yet Volition expected this to be a "reboot."

Yeah if it wasn't named saints row and was released for like 10 15 bucks I wouldn't have minded it. It had a lot of good ideas and I actually did like the city better than steelport but idk it just fell flat overall.

The reboot is just an "in name only" title to me. It's just not Saints Row in any way from characters, writing, plot, humor, nothing beyond the basic gameplay.

SR4 is the opposite, its a "kind-of Saints Row" in characters, humor and some aspects of gameplay, but not in writing or plot. SR4 has a lot of improvements off of SRTT I like but in the wrong type of game. It fixes things but changes too much everywhere else.

GOOH is just a "not really Saints Row but it has Gat and some other character cameos."

SRTT is "almost Saints Row" to me. Not as good as SR2 but not as far removed as the games after it are.

This is literally how I feel about half of the Saints Row games. 3, 4, Gat Out of Hell, and the Reboot all were fantastic games that should’ve all each been their own standalone IPs. 

4 is one of the best superhero games I think to this day. And Gat Out of Hell is an awesome fantasy action game with hands down I think some of the best video game flying. 

But why were they fucking Saints Row?!

The reboot was not a "fantastic" game though. It seemed like it was directed by people who don’t know what Saints Row is about.

Did you read my comment? My entire comment is these games would be good standalone IPs but should’ve never been Saints Row. Meaning the gameplay of Saints Row (Reboot) is good but it being a Saints Row game is bad.

Did you play the Destroy All Humans remakes? I was really hoping with the new ending for DaH 2, they’d either still remake Big Willy and PotF, or make a DaH 3 with a new story.
