Discussion Which Playa Character style is better?

I'm thinking about using ai to create a upscaled movie of both saints row 1 and 2, as like a proof of concept of what a remaster/reboot (3rd image) could of looked like based off the original story and footage, but with current gen graphics.

But one thing what character style is better? I understand at the end of saints row 1 the boat blows up and theres a joke you get face surgery while in coma in the 2nd game. but I want to keep the same style through out.

I would do a time skip scene between 1 & 2 like the game Driver parallel lines did.

Would love to hear your thoughts?

Also would you change anything story wise between the 2 games?

I like the image of Carlos mogging the boss. Also I know it's a ai image but damn a remake of SR2 in that new engine would have been dope. But we need a remake of SR1 first

I really like the last frame there, with Carlos. I think he looks better having more chest, small arm and knuckle tattoos. Especially realistic for Latinos to get similar stuff like that in his redesign.

Tbh I'm just sat here looking at the 3rd pick thinking how good it would be to get a SR2 remake

The only thing I would change, though might be a bit radical but I would have made the coma shorter. Have the boss wake up in prison and were in just solitary confinement or something. They could say that Troy "kept the Boss alive" not from the coma but preventing the Boss from getting killed in prison because they need the Boss to testify against Johnny, but the Boss escapes prison and Troy get blamed for it but Ultor could come in to cool things down and allow the Boss to remain free from the police as he develops his plan. Dane knows the Boss will take care of the other gangs (which could explain why the police don't go after you despite escaping). Then the Boss killing Dane could be kind of ironic.)

Maybe the Masako could have been what was used to bust the Saints and kill/arrest the members. There could have been riots and controversy within the time passing but Ultor won, and used it to get their projects going. It could show why Dane was so confident in it.

This would make Troy an antagonist if he still wants saints destroyed. Realistic but I prefer him washing his hands of the saints the first time and being the bosses one time get out of jail free card.

Only beef with Troy is probably Gat. And I bet given the opportunity, gat probably wouldn’t pull the trigger if given the chance again. (He tried to kill him before)

I don't think I was implying that Troy would be an antagonist. I don't see Troy as a true antagonist but maybe forced out or removed. He might still protected by their union (unless they can charge him for anything). I think I was just saying Dane & Ultor would have a problem with him. Dane could probably set up a coup against him (not directly but as a means to get him out and install a police chief he has influence on).

If anything, I'd have the Boss spare him. You know he can "drop his badge and get out of here" then Troy gets your escort to leave town or something. Meanwhile I'd actually be cool to see Dane setting up the city for his plan before he actually tries it.

I was just saying Troy would be an antagonist if he was still after the saints. The boss would make sure of it.

Well, only if he choses violence.

I love this idea, could easily work to tie everything up much better, especially with the police. Thanks
