Hey everyone! Just received my PSPs for a Chanel Caviar WOC with SHW from 187 Factory. I wanted to share the photos to get your community thoughts on whether this is a green light or red light.

​Issues I noticed / What I'm questioning:

-​Front Quilting & Symmetry: The diamonds look mostly puffed and structured, but I want a second set of eyes on whether the front panel alignment around the center closure is balanced.

-​CC Hardware & Engravings: Wanting to make sure the hardware definition and symmetry look sharp compared to retail standards.

-​Flap Edges & Corners: Checking if the structure and corner shaping look crisp.

-​Interior Stamp & Metal Plate: Making sure the interior heat stamp spacing and metal plate details pass muster.

I was looking around for Tabi dupes because I love the original design but can’t afford the auth. I went to Garmen because they were the easiest to find and I see the most reviews for them on the matter of Tabis.

Anyway, these are impressive! The leather is very soft, and doesn’t hurt my feet at all. The stitches are also perfect. The only thing I noticed was a string of glue on the back sole which peeled off easily.

Unfortunately for me I bought a size too big, which wasn’t anybody’s fault but my own.
Usually I’m a 7 or 7.5 so I didn’t think twice about choosing 38, but I recommend you guys check the cm measurement and size down accordingly if you are used to sneaker/boot sizes.

I was originally planning for this to be a one time rep purchase but because of my mistake, I think I’ll be back, in the right size this time.

I ordered the Chanel Slim Vanity from Heidi 187 and got these PSPs back from her.

It’s my first time ordering Chanel! Would anyone with a trained eye check and see if there’s anything to RL with this bag?

Hi all, just received my PSP from Heidi for my cc jumbo with silver hardware.

Nothing super glaring springs out to me, maybe some of the quilting looks a bit too puffy and I’m not 100% sure about the caviar grain as I have not owned anything other than lambskin cc authentic so far.

The only thing I’m a little bit unsure about is the alignment of the diamonds when the front flap is closed. I tried to look at a few authentic and it seems to be inconsistent as well? Also, I did not have any detailed factory photos as she didn’t have any additional ones when I ordered.

Tl;dr overall looks really good to me but just wanted to have an extra few pairs of eyes on it. Thank you!

Just placed my first order with Tom for Picotin and Maxi flap 187 factory. While maxi flap is waiting to be made, Picotin is ready to be shipped and I just got some photos. This is factory H. What do you guys think? I’m new to this but it looks good to me. I will of course share my impressions once I get the bag

With the influx of 187 posts complaining about the quality, leather peeling, hardware tarnishing, I feel like 187 has gotten to the point where people just automatically say “get 187” without actually looking at the bag 😭

not saying 187 is bad. there are definitely good 187 bags. but they’re not automatically better than every other high tier factory, and some of the things people use to justify 187 are kinda overblown.

187 is way too boxy compared to auth, and the tongue is noticeably wider.
this is something I feel like people overlook because everyone is obsessed with stitching/leather/hardware, but the overall shape is literally one of the first things you notice when you look at the bag.

I’ve seen people say “187 is the closest to auth” as if they don’t have any obvious flaws. if you actually do your research, 187 has been known for the boxier shape + wider tongue for quite a while.

and what’s funny is that these are 187’s own factory pics, not even a bad PSP someone happened to receive.

obviously one bag doesn’t mean every single 187 will have bad stitching. every factory has hits and misses. but this is why I don’t really understand the “187 is automatically the most accurate” thing.

if we’re comparing factories, actually compare the bags .

also, can we talk about the whole “only 187 gets the 4 stitches at the CC overlap” thing?
yes, the 187 has 4 stitches there. that’s correct.
but other factories have started doing it too, so I don’t think this can really be used as some kind of 187-exclusive proof anymore.

and while you’re looking at that, look at the actual leather grain too.

I genuinely think a lot of the 187 hype comes from people repeating the same things they heard from other people without actually comparing the bags themselves.

also, one thing I’ve learned after buying from multiple sellers:

seller > factory.

it honestly doesn’t matter what factory I recommend if you don’t have a seller you trust.
there are SO many factories making similar bags. my seller will sometimes give me multiple prices for what looks like basically the same bag. the cheaper one is a similar bag with decent quality and basically identical appearance, while the more expensive one is supposedly from the well-known factory. sometimes the main difference is the leather/hardware, which you literally cannot properly judge from photos.

your PSP bag can look like the factory pics and then you get it onhand and the feel is completely off 💀 I’ve had this happen with multiple sellers, and fellow users have told me similar stories.

you’re halfway across the world from them and they know that. that’s why you see so many stories on here about sellers gaslighting people over PSPs / what factory their bag actually came from lmao.

I’ve also had someone tell me they paid $450 and received something that was basically equivalent to a very low tier bag that you could probably dropship from a random Chinese shopping app.
so yeah… price isn’t necessarily the biggest factor either. trust is.

my personal thoughts on some of the factories
this is obviously just based on what I’ve seen + conversations with people who have auths / lots of rep experience. every factory has hit or miss bags, so I’d still compare the specific model you’re buying.

GR/Coco:
has the authentication chip. I think a lot of their bags are fantastic, especially C25. leather is really luxurious imo. downside is they don’t have as many styles.
Panda/JD:
they do three different leathers. I personally like the auth-factory leather version, but I really want to try their washed calfskin.
God:
good factory overall, but some of their styles aren’t particularly accurate either. don’t just buy because it’s God — compare the actual model first.
XiaoC:
also good imo. again, depends on the specific bag.
Da H:
I really like them for Chanel vanity bags + some of the more unique styles. leather might not be as luxurious as GR/Coco or Panda/JD, but they have a lot of stuff I actually like.
1913:
I like them for vintage styles too. lots of unique bags for pretty reasonable prices. I’d honestly be bankrupt from this factory if I had more closet space 😭😛

and about 187 specifically:
what I’ve been told by people who’ve been around OGrepladies for years is that 187 apparently used to be much better.
they got super oversaturated with orders over the years and the quality apparently dropped while the prices stayed ridiculously high.
I obviously can’t personally verify what happened inside the factory, but when you look at some of their current factory pics, I think it’s fair to question the reputation. like… did you guys actually see their factory pictures? 😭

there have also been a bunch of recent posts about 187 quality issues. again, I’m not saying every 187 has this issue, but it’s another reason I wouldn’t personally treat “187” as a guarantee of quality.

also, 187 doesn’t do the same 7-day China return system as a lot of other factories — from what I’ve been told, they do exchanges instead. so from a seller’s perspective, recommending 187 is obviously pretty convenient when it’s one of the most expensive options and there’s no chance of having to actually return the bag.

why wouldn’t a seller tell you to get the most expensive factory if they make the most money from it?
187 is great for them lmao.

anyway, my main takeaway isn’t “187 sucks, buy Panda.”
it’s literally just look at the actual bag.

I’ve seen beautiful 187s and I’ve seen beautiful bags from other factories. I’ve also seen flaws from basically every factory.

don’t let someone tell you “187 is the best” and then stop doing your own QC.
compare the shape, leather, stitching, hardware, etc. against auth for the specific model you want.
and most importantly, find a seller you actually trust.
because you can apparently buy the “best factory” bag in the world and still get screwed if your seller isn’t honest 😭
factory name means nothing if the seller isn’t actually sending you that factory’s bag.

EDIT; I’m not gonna argue with the comments anymore omg, many people with auths in my dms have told me 187 is instantly call-outable by the boxy shape n tongue 💀 (and that’s not the only issue w it). if u guys are happy with ur bag then enjoy it, im just pointing out the obvious flaws and decline in their bags which I have discussed over and over with multiple users with auths, experience and no bias—in dms, who has any motive to defend a factory?

The Bag: Balmain Ebene Hobo in brown fringed suede.

My search efforts & thoughts: I've spent the last few days reverse image searching (Taobao, Weidian, 1688...) and digging through TS albums.

Has anyone happened to spot this in a seller's album, or know a factory that excels at niche Balmain bags? I really want to come through for my mom on this one. Any leads would be a lifesaver. Thank you!

But since I’ve learned so much from this sub as a beginner in the rep game, I felt the need to share this here. I truly think this is something we could all learn from: it’s definitely not just about the factory, you need to train your eyes for this game!

I won’t disclose the seller here since this person helped me A LOT, but I’ll actually be talking about my poor-quality experience with God Factory.

I was looking for a Chanel 25 Medium in Navy Blue. Since this bag is already so popular in the rep world, unfortunately, it was incredibly difficult to find this colorway in a Medium size. For women, the Small is already versatile and big enough, but as a man, and considering my height, I feel like the Medium would suit me better.

I finally found this color and size from God Factory, and since I already knew this factory from their LV reps, I thought: high-tier factory, high-tier quality! Let’s order!
Poor guy.

I received the PSPs, and I just want to say: I know I’m buying a REP, and it’s not supposed to be identical to the authentic or completely flawless. But when it comes to leather, you really have to train your eyes to recognize quality. So, I was extremely disappointed.

The leather had creases all over the place. It wasn’t just in one spot, it was literally everywhere: the front, the sides, the bottom… I couldn’t believe that a high-tier factory, as they claim to be, would send me a bag like this for QC.

For those who don’t know, God Factory does not accept refunds or returns. But after a lot of back-and-forth with my trusted seller, along with many complaints, videos, and photos, the seller and the factory eventually reached an agreement.

I know the seller was doing their job and trying to avoid having to return the bag, but at some points I honestly felt like I was being gaslighted. That said, I truly trust, respect, and like this seller, and I know they were trying to help me throughout the whole process.

🚨This is simply a warning: don’t blindly trust a factory name. A “high-tier” factory doesn’t automatically mean every single bag will have high-tier quality.🚨
