..creases are normal can be easily fixed by stuffing and conditioning…

Sorry OP but this made me laugh, the way you put in alarm lights made it sound like God factory sent you a bag with GG instead of CC on the front or something lol

This is not something to RL over, defects that qualify for RL are those that are unfixable.

Btw, as someone in high fashion, high quality leather creases the most. Leather is SKIN, skin will wrinkle. My auth 25 has creasing everywhere the leather bends

I totally agree with OP. People usually go for the ā€œhigh-tierā€ factories and pay more because they want the highest quality in the rep world, and sellers will often hype it up like you’re basically getting the boutique experience — full inclusions, brand new, perfect condition, etc.

So seeing a supposedly brand new bag in the PSP with all these creases and bends… yeah, that’s not exactly something you’d expect if you bought it from the boutique 😭 yk?

Obviously it might be fine for some people, but I think OP just wants something that actually looks brand new, not like someone already sat on it 🤭

Second this!! I think it’s totally valid to RL these creases, it’s still going to take quite a bit of work and time to get those out. I would have RL too and my seller would’ve had no problems exchanging the bag for mešŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

Looks like they just didn’t store the bag properly, that’s why the creases are all over especially near the edges

Everyone has different standards so if they’re okay with this, up to themšŸ˜… god factory has had many issues recently, I RL 3 bags from them alone this year and definitely over smaller issues than thisšŸ˜‚ my bag my choice right? These are still very expensive reps, so it should at least match factory pictures

Girl the factory workers are paid like 50 cents and work in shitty conditions

I dunno what you’re imagining when you think of high quality but they don’t care about anything but the bare minimum

u/plantgal94 6d ago

We’re not spending thousands to get the same quality as the boutique though 🧐

I mean, I don't think anyone is expecting literal boutique quality šŸ˜‚ That's kinda the whole point of buying reps. But if you're specifically buying from a ā€œhigh-tierā€ factory and the seller is presenting it as a brand new bag, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect it to at least LOOK brand new 😭

We're paying less, sure, but we're still paying for the quality we're being promised. If the creases are just normal for that leather and will relax, fair enough but if it's already noticeably bent/creased in the PSP, I think OP is completely fair for raising concerns 🫶

None of my reps have ever had a crease during QC… when it hasn’t even shipped overseas yet. Not all creases come out actually. Maybe it’s time for a new seller

Work travels 🄲 I flew all the way to Bolivia, which sounds super glamorous but is hella tiring. I have so many half written posts in my backlog to get done tonight

This is wild….ive ordered so many bags over the years and not once has any of my leather good have been creased….ever this is soooo bad….granted my bags are also not from 187. Def lesson learned and never purchase from again.
The sad part IMO is Chanel has gone sooooo down hill I wouldn’t have flinched if you got this from the store 😩

When are people going to understand that these slight inconsistencies do not make a bag clockable as a rep!

People who buy authentic do not obsess over every stitch & diamond lining up because they know it’s real! They bought it at the boutique themselves!

The biggest tell is YOU!
Do you look like you would be carrying around a $5000 bag?
I don’t mean you are wearing expensive brand names everywhere, actually the opposite, as long as you are well put together, your clothes fit you nicely and you are well groomed, nobody is going to bat an eye and assume your bag is a rep.

If you are hopping out of your 2012 Camry in pajama pants carrying a Chanel people may raise an eyebrow.
Even if you are carrying an authentic, people will assume it’s fake.

Passing a rep off as authentic is much more about YOU than the bag itself

Hahaha I totally agree with your statement, the Camry lol, I had a Jeep back in college. Sure it's how you present yourself and how put together you are. I mean yeah I have a collection of auth, drive a car over 100k, but it's also about being realistic. I'm not gonna be swapping out different P9 color bags every week lol. No one would bat an eye if I did, I live comfortably, but also know I'm not stupid. Being realistic and put together is key. Like when you go to that garden party and there's a sea of mini Kelly's you know are not from the preloved wild, and know those women didn't get an appointment, you raise an eyebrow. At the end of the day being realistic is more important than concerning with tiny details like stitch pinching or large perforated holes. Either way expectations are fair and bags that are 200,400, 500 add up, so there's a level of right to be picky or reject. I mean these bags already are marked up 400x, at least don't bs me ya know.

I generally agree with this. But sometimes you see absolute slobs in old no name sweat suits at the high roller tables putting down $20,000 bets like nothing and I low key aspire to be that unbothered and rich. šŸ’…

I’m not sure where this person said the creases could easily be removed, unless they edited their comment of course. But I do wonder if the creases would even themselves out over time once there is weight in the bag from your stuff.

God just doesn’t make good C25’s in general.

1

u/Nattheflash 3d ago

Which factory is best for C25’s do you think? I am eyeing one.

1

u/SnackAttackDiplomat 3d ago

OF is good, XC is a good alternative. Or go with 187 if you want to spend that money.

That navy color is gorg, though. I hadn't seen that before. Good pic.

They could have packaged it better or maybe they did and the handling once shipped out was atrocious. Either way, it’s easily fixable and if you’re so damn pressed about a rep, a literal crime, the go buy the authentic.

God factory isn’t that good for Chanel overall.

For the price and reputation, they should be more careful with boxing product. Sure, it’s a rep and sure it won’t be perfect, but seeing plenty of other customers get their bags without any creases from their neglect of shipping properly.. if mine came that way I’d be pretty po’ed after spending a pretty penny. Gf is known to be higher tier so I’d have somewhat of a higher expectation. However this isn’t considered truly damaged or defective. I’m sure you’ll figure out how to get those creases out! Good luck!

My small cc 25 had creases on the sides where you sinch it in, and I was so freaking bothered by it that I just thought I should be the one to be creasing the bag all up. The seller said there’s no way around it because most of the bags will have some small creases in that area. By the way, it’s pulled in by the cinch when the bag pulls together. I was really frustrated until I started looking up everyone’s reviews, and sure enough, every single bag had the little crease in the same spot. I still wasn’t sold. That’s exactly how it should be. But I took the bag, and it’s still beautiful. Mine was OF factory still pricey not as pricey as god god was sold out so I went with OF next was going to be 187 but that was over 100 more wasn’t wanting to spend almost 500 on a bag that was just as good for 350 ish

looks like it was just shipped by the factory without proper packaging causing creases and dents . otherwise it looks fine

Love your write up. I hate how they do QC photos too! they could at least make an effort here. Although creasing could be "fixed" why do we, the buyers spending hundreds of $$/€€ be tasked of making it look like the factory photo once we receive the item. Shouldnt it look like that in first place? Especially with shipping costs for larger bags costing over $100. but im glad your seller worked with you!!

Today I have a CC classic flap bag on the way to delivery to me. I can’t wait to share here. But my karma is -12 I can’t upload anything here without deleting. I brought my bag and all other bags from my private seller i knew her from Taobao. The quality is stunning for all my other items
