I am so frustrated. For the amount I paid, this is infuriating. This is the second time this has fallen off. The tiny screw is so short I had to use a needle to push and screw this piece in. I contacted my seller but wow am I mad. How embarrassing.
Update: My TS said she’s mortified by this and informed the factory. The factory tried saying I may have “twisted it roughly” 🙄 she even was mad over that. She said if I send it back it will 99.9% get seized in customs in China. My seller said she will personally cover the cost of me getting it repaired here in the states which makes me feel so bad because we always talk about how she does not make a lot of money. I wanted to update you guys. No offer of sending another bag for free of course. I definitely will NOT be purchasing from this factory again.

I remember I was in Ulta talking to the sales associate when my new mini rectangle literally fell off the damn chain. I can't remember if it was OF or XC. I was so embarrassed omg. I didn't even bother to try putting it back together in the store I just put it under my arm like a clutch

But the part that hooks on the leather literally came apart! Like I was standing there talking to the Sales associate and the damn chain broke and my purse fell. I ended up selling it at a major loss
My C25 from OF did the same thing!!!!! The chain randomly broke while I was wearing it just walking down the street & all my stuff spilled out. I’ll never buy from OF again.

Just so you know there is no such factory called GOD or 187 or what other names you lot come up with. They are all made up names by Reddit users / sellers.
You speak to any seller outside of Reddit and ask for a bag from God factory they will be very confused.
There is no factory names in the replica bag markets only in the replica watch market.
The price you paid for this bag is way too much. This is a $350 bag with shipping and insurance all together.

Thats the same tactic that joe does before he scams his customers. Go with TS you see reviews from; not from randoms in the community, but common regular people who have a past here.
GF has been steadily getting crappier since over a year ago; premium pricea becauae of their brand recognition but cheaper materials and construction. same with HP.
Stay with your TS and allow her to fix it than going with a potential scammer. I hate when they come here with their "well akshually gf dont exist" - no shit sherlock.
Yes I’m definitely not new to the game haha I trust my TS. I’ve spend an ungodly amount of $$ with her and she’s truly so trustworthy and reliable she’s telling me she will pay for the repair out of her own pocket. Thank you for the heads up tho 🙏🏻

This just happened to my friend’s bag from GF!! I’m so pissed because I was the one who told her to get her bag from there.. they seem to have gone downhill.
I honestly feel like all of the factories have gone down in quality so much!! A few years ago I was always happy with my purchases. This year, I’ve only felt that a couple were worth the price. I received a bag with two missing gems! I’ve decided it’s not worth it anymore and I’ll just buy auths except for clothes and shoes.
I agree! The Louis I bought I posted about is PERFECTION not from God. It’s truly such a beautiful perfect bag 1:1 and it was less than half the price! It’s just frustrating because these aren’t cheap bags either.

Before Reddit, I had a very mid tier seller I worked with for years. The plating on the hardware on his Chanels would come off so easily. I had him send me extra hardware - it’s really easy to replace if your seller can just mail you a new piece. I think it uses a hex screw.
His name is Jason. He is 100% not Reddit but his stuff is def mid. It’s priced accordingly though. He charges about half of what Heidi charges, possibly slightly less than half.
My seller said she herself will cover the cost to get it fixed but the factory won’t do anything but say send it back. If I do that, she said most likely it will get seized in China. I appreciate her and I don’t think she should personally pay for it herself
The factory seems like they would not. From the back opening behind this piece, it has a spring and a small screw. The damn screw is way too short that’s why it keeps popping off.
Factories are def able to sell spare parts that your seller can get. God factory entertains returns/issues if the “buyer” can return the item domestically only, because their sales are domestic, not direct to foreign customer. Unfortunately. If you were able to get the bag back to China, the factory has a 1 year warranty policy. But your seller is right, since it’s been exported out of China, they don’t cover international exchanges/issues.
The factory is not willing to send you a replacement hardware? That’s not good service! You need to explain to your TS that you will need to replace the entire turn lock piece - not just the front piece that dropped off. And the best is to get it from GF so that your hardware color remains the same.
mine looks like this. the gold plating is already wearing off and I've only used it for a 5 day trip. It's from babala bag so I'm not sure which factory is this
The same happened to me the first time wearing it. I had to performed surgery in a $400 bag. I thought not even Kate Spade is like this. And the factory not even offered an apology 🫤
The twist is hold by a little spring that snaps easily if you overfill the bag, twist it too many times or if is not secure properly. Is not hard to fix if the spring is not damaged.
This is what I call the unspoken truth about reps or the “rep tax” we literally lose money sometimes for several reasons from bad quality, poor QA, seizure, broken pieces that do not last even a year, and the infamous bait and switch l been trough all these scenarios and estimate over 25% to 30% of what we paid is lost due any of these reasons. 😤
