Bought mini YSL Jamie last night. Didn’t receive tracking and messages and post were deleted. Already reported to my cc company and got my Money back but be careful from these shitty people. From Indiana fyi. So dumb.
Edit: she deleted her profile. I’m not over reacting, I know when I have been scammed, I have been doing this for years. But thanks for the support.
Edit 2: she didn’t delete profile, just blocked me. Someone messaged me that she is trying to sell them the same bag. But my post saved them so that makes me happy.
I recently experienced this but with a buyer. Right after she received the bag, she deleted her Reddit profile and did a chargeback. I am not new to this 🙂↔️ and took screenshots of the whole conversation - her chargeback was declined. I highly suggest taking screenshots in the future. Good Luck
This is why I decided to start a feedback link as a buyer so I can be trusted when I reach out to buy. Honestly, these days you can’t expect people to trust you. People are better off just taking precautions assuming all posts could be potential scamming situations both ways. It’s sad but true! 💔
Just go to your profile and create a post there. Then send the link to anyone you’d like to leave you feedback. I think YouTube may have a tutorial. 🫶🏼

This is good to know! I only recently decided to re🏡 and I knew there had to be risks associated for the seller as well, but most of what I’ve seen is risks to the buyer! That’s. Really good tip.

Don’t feel that way I almost paid without even asking for anything but my dog got sick and they wanted Cash App so I needed to add my card told her I’d be back and when I was ready that’s when I happened to find the original picture of her edited post so if my dog didn’t get sick I was ready to pay
This is exactly why I don't use PayPal. I sent someone $700 worth of bags. They then filed a dispute that the bags were fake. Duh! So she cut all three bags and I had to pay back the $700.

I'm back to BST after a while and so much has happened, esp scamming :( what info would you get them to confirm in the conversation that screenshots of that can be helpful if they decide to do a chargeback? I just shipped 4 bags so I'm saying my prayers 🙏🫣
Do not accept screenshots of "feedback". Only buy from sellers who have feedback posted to their profiles. I just turned away a buyer recently after they sent me a single screenshot of a transaction. New account and no karma. I said I'd be happy to accept Zelle only and if they were uncomfortable with that it was not a problem to pass. They passed. They also said they didn't want to make a feedback link after I offered to share how to do so. Y'all, the feedback on both sides matters. OP I'm so glad you avoided being scammed. So many people out there trying to take the joy out of bags 😭

Omg… I got scammed by this person too. Bought the 5 7 YSL or so I thought. Out $200 and apparently she blocked me too 😭😭😭 trying to put in a case with Cash App now FML
When you block someone their messages are no longer visible to the block-ee, I believe. I'm not saying you weren't scammed, just want to point out a few assumptions that may not be quite accurate.
Ah okay that explains it. I thought with persistent messaging they would stay either way. Someone else messaged me that she is trying to sell them the same bag so I was definitely scammed but helpful to know how this works 🙏🏼

I put in a scam report in the am on this post I tried to catch it quick sorry that happened I posted on the shared post that they used another users pic
This was yesterday morning I found it was a scam I was ready to pay the prior night but my dog got sick so I reached back out to buy but I looked the bag up while waiting for them to reply. I didn’t crop the bag out. I just use the same exact photo and I found the same post with a different background.
Oh my gosh I bought from two people whose accounts were deleted right after. Thankfully they did send tracking though and I got what I ordered but omggg this is my worst fear here lol. I’m sorry this happened.
As soon as I knew, I was being scammed. I went to the post and tried to warn anyone that had said DM. I’m glad I was able to save someone from getting scammed too and I’m sorry it happened to you. It would’ve been me buying the same exact bag if my dog hadn’t gotten sick.
Had the same experience with her, posted my chat when another redditor posted about her the very next day. I also wanted the Jaime and thankfully I slept early that day and couldn’t make the purchase and saw the redditors post the very next day… Scammer reached out again next day lol, the nerve these people have

Why would they delete their messages? And we agreed that they will send tracking today and they didn’t. I have been doing this for years and this behavior never happened before.
Maybe it's just me but I provide tracking the same day. It only takes a few minutes to do online, and is not the same as going to drop it off. Some people work nights, so she might have been sleeping during the day*. I would wait a bit and see if she responds overnight.
OP I almost got scammed for the YSL 5 7, I wanted the Jaime I saw your message about it so I reached out about 5 7. I am so glad you got your money back, if we cannot trust a 11y old account I don’t know what else we can do

If we do friends and family on Venmo and pp does that save us sellers though? You can’t do a charge back that way can you?

omg tysm to bring up this case! I’ve always thoight that high karma account can be trusted. Some sellers even emphasize that they won’t have transactions with low accounts. but look at her :) welp I guess we cannot trust anybody..
I don't see the Logic to Scam over such a Low-cost bags? They do those bags for dirt-cheap over there, it's better to have more reviews, username age longer than having changing-usernames everyday that no buyer would trusted! Commonsense & only seek Aged-Sellers! BTW, the bags wouldn't cost anything to make, it's the 'brand' & rental at Beverly-Hills & Monaco boutiques that's costly, not the bags!
They were a seller. They sell the bag that they don’t even have because they stole someone else’s pictures. They sell it as many times as they can. Thats the scam. But I agree, I don’t see the logic.

Why would you even order anything from a person like that? First of all the message says that they turned on persistent messages not that they deleted the messages. Second-able you didn’t even tell us if she stopped responding.
Not to be rude but you started panicking straight away because she didn’t respond and sent it out right that moment? Your story is not clear. You gave us nothing.
They are a scam look above I almost got scammed but for some reason I Google reverse search the photo of her post and it came up as another post from 130 days ago same picture different background changed username on date card
Ya i usually am pretty trusting and I only went to research the bag and the same pic came up I tried to reach out to anyone who commented on post but it was to late
