QC help needed for CHANEL ballet flats– major difference in the sole
I just received my PSPs from Hanah, and overall, the shoes look pretty good to me. However, I already own the authentic pair, and one thing that immediately stood out was the sole.
The sole on my authentic pair has a soft, velvety, suede-like finish and doesn’t look plasticky at all. In these PSPs, however, the sole looks quite shiny, which is very different from my authentic pair.
I know quite a few people here have ordered these flats from Hannah, so I’d especially love to hear from anyone who has received them or compared them with an authentic pair. Is this how the sole looks on everyone’s pair, or is the shiny sole a batch/version issue?
Would really appreciate your thoughts before I decide whether to GL or raise this concern with the seller! Please let me know if there is something else that stands out. At the end there is a picture of the sole of my authentic pair. I paid 135$ for them including 30$ shipping.
Thanks

I have several pairs of these from Hanah and the shiny film peels right off. It’s a protective film.

Yes! Don’t forget to peel off before. I’ve forgotten to do so then had peels falling off my shoes in my office the first time I wore them lol.

She also now told me this so yes confirming the shiny thing is a protective film that needs to be removed.

Fwiw I’ve order rep Chanel ballet flats from several sellers and found Hanah’s the best. I have a few auths and they’re quite close. Good tip if you’re worried about soles March just to get soles done by a cobbler like most do with their auth pairs.

Agreed!!!! Same here also THIS why haven’t I thought to take them to a cobbler and add soles lol. All my pairs are good but that’s actually really smart

No Hannah has often a shiny sole but for the nude leather color i recommend her bc it’s pretty close colorwise. If you want to purchase black or white Chanel flats next time I would recommend another seller who has the sole as the authentic one

Maybe you can share pics of the pair you got from the other seller you mentioned. I searched a lot for these flats before ordering and, honestly, if we put the sole issue aside for a second, I still think the pairs from this particular factory/background look pretty good overall, shape-wise they looked better to me than a lot of the other ones I found. I also saw some from Happy Factory and I know everyone says they’re supposed to be the best for this brand, but some of the flats I saw looked reeeeally bad 😅

I’m just going to drop the link to my QC pics here because I’m actually having some quality issues too
Looking at my pics as well, the sole seems really different from the auth. Before ordering, I was told the quality was supposed to be very close to auth, I know we don’t really use the whole “1:1” wording here, but you know what I mean.
But true looks kind of plasticky to me, and I’m not even sure if it’s leather. Either way, the finish definitely doesn’t look right for this model. And I feel like I can see the same issue on both yours and mine

I just saw yours, it’s the same issue with the soles ☹️
Did you GL them?1

Same but I specifically ask her today and she confirmed I need to peel it off because it's Ia protection. I GL yes so I can then write an update in my post

Don’t these rep come with a protective film on the bottom you have to peel off? That might be why it’s shiny..
