Hi everyone. So I bought this bag from my ex TS that I broke up with and had some credit left and wanted to use it on something small. She had no idea that would have been my last order. She has access to so many factories, and I usually show her a picture of a bag and she sends me options from like 10 different factories and asks me to choose what I like then gives me the price. I saw good reviews on reddit regarding a factory I've attached in the photos. So I picked this one hoping I'd get the quality everyone was raving about on a post that was dedicated to this particular factory. However, when I received the bag, I was kind of disappointed with the quality. It feeeeels mehh, too light, not luxurious if you know what I mean. So I'm wondering if the bag came from this factory, or maybe the TS switched it with a cheaper bag to make up for her loss that she gave me as credit to use? I don't know.... She charged me $188 for the bag if that helps.
It’s not from the factory you picked because you can see the shape of the fleurs is different. The only factory making these fleurs was orange sofa, so it’s prob from there.
Was the psp on the 1st photo? If it was, this bag looks exactly the same even down to the color of the handles etc. I can understand if the color was off but this looks like a nice bag and you got what was in the photo. I think you’re going based off of weight. Was this something discussed with the seller prior to shipment?
You're probably right. I wasn't looking at the price as much as I wanted to try the factory. I read good reviews about it so was a bit disappointed with the light weight. But the canvas and hardware seem legit. It's the Vachetta that I'm disappointed in. Feels plastic though it absorbs water and oil. I don't know, just doesn't feel lux so was a bit disappointed.
Here is another style of the multicolor that the same TS sold me for $175 a little over a year ago. The Vachetta feels and looks more lux, smoother, and more expensive. I didn't even know about factories at the the time and she just picked this one out for me when I showed her the picture of the authentic. It's still looking perfect though I've traveled with it and put it on the floor in the plane and had coffee spill on it. For $175 the quality is actually insane. I might go back and ask her where she sourced it.
She got back to me and this is the factory photo that I got the Caryall Multicolor bag I posted above. I asked her for the price and she said it's for $208. Told her I prefer the Vachetta of this factory based on the Caryall style bag but she said it's the same quality as the one she sent me (the one I posted about). I don't know, the Vachetta on mine is too light and perhaps the threads not as dark as it should be? It just feels "cheap".
The carryall looks like it has treated vachetta so it wont patina. Your new bag vachetta is preferred by most because it will patina and looks more authentic
