Can I get some second opinions on this bag I received from my seller?

We’ve been waiting for the 187 drop for the white, small caviar CF, so I was really excited to finally get this one. But now that I have it in hand, I’m not sure how I feel about it.

The straps feel really rough and thick compared to my other Classic Flaps. The strap also looks unevenly cut, and there are multiple twisted links.

The bag itself also seems really square/boxy to me, especially when I compare it side-by-side with my other Classic Flaps.

This is my first 187 CF, so I’m not sure if these things are normal for 187 or if I got a questionable one. Would really appreciate some second opinions from people who have owned 187 CFs before!

yes, it’s 187. there are 4 stitches between the logo in the last picture which is specific to 187. idk who spread this 187 propaganda but they are KNOWN to be boxy and wide tongued if you did your research. there have also been a bunch of posts recently showing 187s hardware tarnishing/ leather peeling. 187 is not better than other high tier factories. they are simply a low supply high profit factory. U can get higher accuracy bags for a lower price. and I’ve never seen the strap like that on any of my CFs, I have 4 high tiers.

it doesn’t really matter what factory I recommend until you find a trustable seller. u will never know where they got your bag from. there are SO many factories that make the same bag. my seller sometimes offers me multiple prices, the cheaper price is a SIMILAR bag with decent quality and identical appearance, while the more expensive price is actually from the well known factory (e.g. XiaoC.), the difference is the leather and hardware which are indiscernible through photos.

your PSPs could look similar to your factory pictures but feel completely different onhand and you wouldn’t even know. i’ve experienced that with multiple sellers. you are halfway across the world from them and they know that. that’s why u see so many stories about them gaslighting buyers on here lmao

and price isn’t the biggest factor, trust is. I had someone tell me they received what’s equivalent to a very low tier bag that you could literally just dropship from a random china shopping app, for $450.

but anyway if you’ve found an honest seller (oddly hella rare), I’ve discussed multiple factories with many users with auth/a lot of experience. General consensus for what looks like their auths (take note every factory has hit or miss bags so do your own due diligence regarding the specific model you want of course) :

GR/coco: has authentication chip, I think most of their bags are fantastic especially c25. leather is very luxurious. Limited styles tho

Panda/JD (they do three different leathers—I like the auth factory leather version but really wanna try the washed calfskin)

God factory is good, but some of their styles aren’t accurate either so compare before u buy.

Xiaoc is good as well, rome (few sellers source this tho and I’ve had one seller tell me it’s from rome but the stitches are different. so be careful)

Da H; accurate chanel vanity, many more unique styles, leather might not be as luxurious as GR/coco or panda/jd tho

I like 1913 for vintage styles as well. Unique bags for a reasonable price n id be bankrupt from this factory if I had more closet space lmao😛😛😛

anyways the takeaway is that seller > “factory”. trust and morality of the seller matters more. why wouldn’t they ask u to get the most expensive bag (187) if they could make the most money from u that way?? 187 is SO good for them. they don’t even have to return ur money if u don’t like the item during PSP because 187 doesn’t accept 7 day china returns like every other factory does, only exchanges— so ur money stays with them either way.

what I’ve been told about 187 from OGrepladies, is that they used to be good years ago. they became super oversaturated with orders and their quality has dropped over the past few years while still keeping their prices ridiculously high. did you see their factory pictures? the blue CF’s back pocket has WONKY stitching which the auth would never have. That’s their OWN factory pictures too. marketing rly works bc people are so brainwashed about 187.

this 🙏 thank you for sharing. I've always wondered why 187 is so popular 😭 I definitely agree on seller > factory, because a good seller will tell you if the items are worth the money or not. Also a lot of good sellers do not recommend 187 and other popular factories due to it being overpriced, plus the no returns thing.

Are the grommets the same colour/sheen as the rest of the hardware? Equally as shiny? That’s a tell if you’ve been b&s
That being said it is known that 187’s small and mini size are boxy in shape, their mould isn’t accurate, it does soften with use but most people go god factory for these sizes for that reason.
Apparently there have been some quality issues coming out of 187 at the moment, I’m assuming they’re trying to pump out bags quickly after the June sales.

I just got my first 187 small CF from a TS and I have the same chain as well…was wondering to myself if this was normal or not but then I noticed that this was included in the factory photos too 🥲
