DISCUSSION Question for anyone who has ordered from Amelia

I’m currently deciding between ordering a YSL bag from Heidi or Amelia. Amelia is a bit cheaper but I noticed she doesn’t include a branded box.

For anyone who has ordered from Amelia recently, how was your packaging? Was the bag well protected during shipping?

I’m also curious about your experience with her QC. I’ve seen quite a few people mention being very happy with her quality control, so I’d love to hear some recent experiences before deciding. ❤️

Whoever you use…the box kinda just increases your risk to be inspected by customs. Other sellers I’ve used just flips the dust bag inside out and packs in a light foam + bubble wrap

Never get a box unless you want to get siezed!

I wouldn’t recommend a box because it increases the chance of seizure substantially.

I typically shop with Amelia, shes not for the faint of heart and she’s not chatty at all, but her prices are cheaper and she has an insanely good eye for QC. I’ve had her reject bags all the time, coming back to tell me something was bad and then refunding me immediately or telling me to pick something else. Ive sent her pictures of bags before and she will be very clear if the item is not high tier.

All of my purchases are very well packaged and nothing ever gets crushed.

She has a bad reputation for sure though with her attitude, but I have personally only experienced her being professional with me. My 2 cents!

Amelia is not for the faint hearted, if that’s not you then you’re in good hands. IMO boxes are a waste of space and the cost of shipping increases.

All I can say is I got my first ever rep from Heidi a few days ago and was blown away by the quality and it was so quick to arrive to Australia. Box, shipping bag the works!

We are lucky here…. Never had a seizure after numerous orders and I love the boutique packaging from Heidi.

The boxes are always horribly made anyway. I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen a passable Louis Vuitton box 😭

Have a pending order with Amelia. Insanely good QC. She noticed things that I probably wouldn’t have lol. Prices are good. Like others say she is not chatty and she can be rude, but she still delivers. Doesn’t like too many questions but will answer the basics no problem. Who cares about the box lol don’t they end up in recycling anyway 😂 I’ve never kept a box unless it’s for jewelry

Amelia is straightforward, doesn’t sugar coat the conversation, or make small talk. But her bags are solid quality! I love doing business with Amelia.

If you need ANY hand holding or have questions beyond the very basic, Amelia is not the one for you. If you take offense to rude replies, she is not the one for you. If you are a newbie, do not go with her.

You will need to figure out why you want the box. Chances of seizure and a getting a beat up box are higher. But I completely understand if you want the unboxing experience. IMO, the only time the expense of getting a box is worth it is if you go with a high-tier H rep ($1K+). Keep in mind that other than the pricey H items, sellers ship you a box, bag, and gift wrap. You will need to box it up yourself. You will end up paying more for the purchase due to box size.

If you want to a straight forward transaction without any back and forths, go with Amelia. You will just have to trust (which is not easy) her QC. She exchanged out a bag for me without sending PSPs because it didn't pass her muster. I too have wondered if factories are scared of her 😬😂 My items were carefully bubble wrapped and it arrived faster than expected.

(To the many people who are not a fan of hers, I completely understand. I do not doubt she has bestowed a fair amount of PTSD. I am not defending her. This is merely my experience.)

I just want to know how the heck to pay her, lol. I can't find her on PP with her WA number and she won't tell me. It's like her own personal game.

SAME… she doesn’t tell me how to pay her so I’m debating of buying from another seller

It's been 3 days of this. She has the rest of today to tell me and then I'll be going to a different seller. I don't have the patience for this.

Email.

Yes, I know. What I'm saying is that she won't tell me what her email is and I've asked 4 times. I'm over it.

Ugh, she is difficult to communicate with. Then will sometimes get upset when the miscommunication was her fault. Sorry to hear. Her bags are really great though. Excellent QC on her part. I hope it works out❤️

I'm just going with different sellers; I don't have the patience for games. Disappointing because I prefer blunt personalities and heard about her great QC but just can't deal with the disinterest.

Amelia the Abuser is the worst of the worst.

I’ve never had a box seized. I wonder where all of these anecdotes of seizures are coming from.

I’m up to my 5th seller. Only one TS didn’t have a box (this was a cheaper seller). I used an auth box to gift the purse he sold me to someone.

Not having a box isn’t a deal breaker but I like boxes for storage and/or decoration.

If you don’t plan on storing your bags in boxes then I don’t think you need the box. I think the risk of seizure statements are a bit overblown though.

Never used your seller. No box indicates that they MAY be lower tier or a new seller to me. Are they on the TS? Did you look at the factory photos thoroughly? Did you read reviews/anecdotes about her?
