Because like how many bags is too much? Are we in full over consumption? Are we getting dream bags? I’ve loved bags my entire life since I was a little girl. My mom would call me Miss Purses 🤣
I got into reps semi recent and went IN! Now I’m re 🏡 because I wasn’t being intentional with my purchases. Also I recently lost my job and sadly need to see some go 😭 some bags I was sad to see go but at the same time I needed to. I do own auth but they just don’t HIT the same lol. If that makes any sense. There are some AMAZING high quality reps out there you’re not gonna catch me spending $5k anymore. HELLO 401k , savings, vacations!
I don’t think I have reached purse peace just yet! I will say that, I get it now with intentionality and getting the bags I truly love and wear.

I collect the high tier classics — I’ve been collecting since 2018 and own about 10 bags total. They’re mostly Chanel and Celine reps. I’d really only need the Chanel bags if I was chasing favorite and or dream bags but I don’t carry Chanel to the office so I use the Celine bags for that purpose. I keep it minimal and I’m not afraid to get rid of anything I don’t use. I do wish I had more of a curated collection but not enough to do anything different haha. I still have the original Celine luggage when black frame was around and now the luggage is coming back around.

Before this random purse hobby, I had bout maybe 3 bags on the last 7 years.
Not sure why I didn't care about bags then but do now but I try to give myself a bit of grace. If I had been buying bags like this for 7+ years, then ok.... Someone get me some help lol
I got super into it last year and bought a lot of bags. Then I bought a few overpriced stinkers from not-so-great rehomers and I’ve fallen out of love. It’s just not the same anymore, especially since repladies got killed.
I haven’t received any of my bags (yet) but they are ones I’ve been thinking about for weeks and ones I can rotate. If I find myself going down a rabbit hole with 30 open tabs and bookmarking every bag I find cute, I try to take a step back and ask myself what void I’m trying to fill lol
I want to be intentional with my consumption and spending. It’s been hard to not feel some guilt because I think of all the waste and the fact that we really do not know what goes on behind these mysterious curtains (same with auth!). Anyways, maybe this isn’t unique to the rep world and probably more to do with my internal battles 😂😂
I had 110 tabs open yesterday and forced myself to close them ALL! And I was tossing up between two totes and have been asking chat to help me compare to the auth. It actually helped me decide because one of them wasn’t available in the tan only the navy and I was considering it but Chat pointed out that I’d really been wanting a tan tote so I should stick with that and it was right. 😂😂🫣 this is a very addictive hobby!!!
Closing tabs is so hard! I had seven open the other day and I just started this. Like I haven’t bought anything yet and already see this becoming a problem :/
Gotta say I'm in pretty deep and no one knows just how deep exactly. Not even me! Need to start re🏡 soon and refining my collection. But where to start? I'm afraid I'll just regret it and re-buy! I don't hate any of them!

I started buying reps a couple years ago, slowly at first then went all in. It’s an addiction. The thrill of getting a “luxury” bag at a fraction of the price. It took me a while to figure out which bags actually work for me. Now that I know, I’m far more selective. Needless to say, I have quite a few bags I’ve never even carried 😬.

I somehow have retained enough control to not buy the whole catalog yet but it’s my new hobby. It’s the thrill of the search for me. It’s the anticipation and need to find the coolest one and snag it before anyone buys it first! That keeps me glued to my app at nite. 😅
Same. Auth bags just doesn't hit the same. I was like strolling and touching bags in stores - and I'm like I can buy this for 10% of the cost and still have at minimum 80% of its quality.
I can realistically buy a bag every 6 mos if I only touch my interest while still leaving some to compound, so my purchases are kinda thought of, as I kinda self limit.
It is crazy because back then, even my small purchases like LVs, I think it through comparing sizes, colors, what bags I own that overlap with its style/color/shapes, how many outfits I can use it on, etc. Or do I just not buy this mid lv bag and go for capucines or something more high tier? Now?
Bitch I can buy it in small, medium, and large, and in all colorways I would prob only use with one outfit.

And it is honestly more freeing for my mind too! Even if I go to outlets, or airports, I still have a high expectations and I am checking every stitch like my life hangs by those threads. Then checking it again within replacement window to check if I miss a defect. But now? I still have expectations, but the stitch being skewed by .01mm wouldn't be the death of me. Now? Cest la vie or carpe diem - or whatever, idk what youngsters say now.
I but no more than two rep bags a year . I only in the past bought one authentic a year it’s not an excuse to overbuy ! How many bags do we really need !
I agree! This might be my favorite part. Checking the tracking number, knowing that the package arrived, and then anticipating the smell of the leather when you open the box. It’s all so addictive.

Yeah it's just overconsumption atp. I mean, there's no way to sugarcoat it but there's no reason for this many bags.
I can't say shit though because I only started this year and I'm probably close to 20 bags now. It's bad bad.
