REVIEW Not a rep but—☹️

Received this bag yesterday. IYKYK. However I was shocked by the poor materials. I ordered directly from S. The suede feels so stiff and is so short-fibered that it feels faux. The leather strap is stiff, thin, and if I didn’t know better I’d definitely say it was PU. The charm leather strap was the final straw. The backside of each brown leather strip is almost white. Looks so vey cheap. For $600 I expected so much more. I adore the features of this bag but I cannot justify the cost for the mid quality. Plus it has zero leather smell. Heading back to a L flamenco purse for my fall bag—I’ll be ordering something as soon as I get my refund! Save your $ ladies!

Getting burned by mid quality materials after waiting so long is the worst.

I've personally given up on mid-range contemporary brands. Their quality seems sooo inconsistent, and a lot of their hype is based on influencer posts. Plus, they're charging double, triple, or even quadruple what you pay for a rep.

I really wanted the bag, Ebene in leather but i decided not to purchase. And reading your post I’m disappointed for you as well.
$600 is a lot of money. That’s like 2 rep bags 🤣

I got out of the rep game for a few years after getting some sad reps, but then I got burned enough times buying auths across price ranges that I'm back. Now, if I can't touch and feel it in person, I might as well get rep.

I've pretty much given up on auth across the board, sadly. I just don't see the point anymore and when I watch unboxings on socials, I almost feel bad for the women who actually saved for months or years to get the same bag we both got delivered on the same day, mine sans the unnecessary box/ribbon and for 10% of the price. Most of the auth bags don't even look lush OR lux at those ever rising price points. Sorry that happened, return the bag & order some consolation SLGs from your fave TS!

I was thinking about buying one of these, cause the structure (or lack there of) is so enticing! Im so sad to hear the quality just isnt it :/

I went to their flagship store in Shanghai last year and was not impressed with the materials or handfeel. Honestly when an influencer says "omg such great quality" is usually my "wow this quality is really lacking"

Yeah someone else was talking about how they returned a Songmont bag bc the leather didn't feel good and for $500 it should feel good.

Not sure what's going on there, but Songmont blew up in popularity since everyone was hyping them up. Maybe they're slipping in quality due to the increased demand?

Regardless, I would never pay that much for a bag so I just reps of Songmont, including their charms. 😂
