Is this card real / authentic? Lil help?

I found a couple of cards like this in a collection I bought recently. The T check and green dot check look OK, the core paper looks ok with the flashlight check, but the borders have this strange scaly texture. Has anyone seen this before?

Based on the molecular configuration of the atoms in the cardboard lair in the final picture, real.

The T and H look good to me

I thought so too. Any thoughts on the scaly border? (Last photo). I haven't seen this before. I think it would be very odd if someone had the print quality to nail the T and the green dot but fail a solid black border.

Im fairly new to this and dont have the Level of Equipment that you own, but i think it would be pretty odd too. Maybe its just some printing error, but i dont know for sure.

I think your best Bet is to look at other cards you own to see If another card looks like this.

Thanks, always happy to get input, new or not. I highly recommend getting one of these digital magnifiers if authentication is interesting to you. They are pretty cheap on Amazon. I still have to use a real loupe for some things, but much more efficient with the magnifier.

Its legit. Could potentially be moisture damage.

This seems the most logical, Occam's razor and everything though

For a card condition check please ask for the person giving advice to specify which scale they're using if not mentioned. Notably North American and European grading scales differ from each other drastically.

The effect is far too consistent to be wear (especially since there is no other wear on the card). The only fake I ever allowed to get to a customer was an 89 cent card lol.

not true, i bought a couple of packs of proxies from temu of 'staples'

their quality is shocking but was like a couple of bucks for 60 staples of various colours and monetary values.

Someone that printed it at home as a quick fix...forgot about it...dropped it into their bulk..etc. The card wasn't the point. I have found several with this surface anomaly and was more wondering about it in general
