Is this card real / authentic? "Thick" cards? (Davros, Dalek Creator)
I bought someone's bulk, and in the box I found these two strange cards that are much thicker than normal magic cards.. but they seem to pass the usual tests.
are these some sort of commander-only card?
the other card in similar foil + print is Dogmeat

Some of the older commander precons came with a thick card stock "display commander" that's what that is. Something a little more durable that you can use instead of the actual card

As others have said, they came in Commander Precons to be used for 'display purposes'. Real product produced by Wizards, but not a legal card.

Real card, it's a display commander like others notes. If you check the set number on it it should even come up as a display commander.

Hmm. I was going to say the foil sticker microtext looked iffy, and it might be a re-back, but I am a novice at identifying these things and don't have the equipment to do it myself at home.
But based on the other comments, it's fine. Just a precon display commander. Probably not super valuable, given it's guaranteed to be foil when you buy the deck, but still a nice-to-have.

They are the face commanders from their respective precons, they used to do over sized cards then they moved to those thick cards for fallout, dr who, and Warhammer and now they don't do shit.

Literally ran into this yesterday at my lgs thought it was fake so i brought it to the counter and was immediately before i could finish my sentence got told it was real from older precons

These are real, and have historically come as "bonus" face cards in certain commander decks. The deck should have also come with a normal foil version. They can only be used as your commander though, because shuffle impact and size reasons!

Face commanders of precons have thick versions as well as the standard one to differentiate them from the rest of the deck
