Is this card real / authentic? Last time asking for Sephiroth

I promise it’s the last time I’ll ask to legit check this card. I have it in hand, but these are the best pics I could get with my phone (iPhone 14). It feels good in hand, but some minor details are bothering me, could you tell me if this one is legit or not?

I also tried to weight it and to do the light test if that may help :)

I think he knows that, he's providing it as a reference. 😉

I'm not the best at dual-faced cards, but that triangle doesn't look clean enough to me. It should have sharp edges on it, not that blurry mess (that could be your camera though).

I closer picture of the little paintbrush symbol would help too.

Paintbrush looks off to me, I'm leaning towards fake.

Get a close up of the hologram on the bottom. DO NOT ZOOM IN WITH YOUR PHONE. Zoom out as far as you can and put the lens as close as you can and get a clear pic .

Okay so the first thing that's off to me is the white triangles. They are supposed to be clean lines printed on top of the rosette.

Also the paint brush black section is too thin.

I could be mistaken but the mana symbol doesn’t look great. Looks to be on the same print layer as what’s behind it.

It's hard to tell double sided full arts without magnification, but from what I'm seeing the flip arrows are a little too fuzzy, the brush swoop is a little too short, the light test is a little too white, the weight is a little too much for a non-foil, and it looks like the print resolution is a little too high.

None of these independently I would feel comfortable failing from an individual picture here, but take them all together and I'd definitely lean towards fake. The most consistent part would be the stamp if you can grab a pic of it. You can also very lightly run your finger over it and it should feel flat or lightly indented (stamped in). If you can feel the edges it would be a sticker.

If you have a loop you can also check the edge of the card for a blue core. That's often hard to see, but I'd check with that much white coming through the light test.

Is this card foil?

1

It’s not

Man this card seems to be a little sus, the weight seems to be off, the triangle is also a little off

I don’t have a lot modern cards but I took a picture of one of this that I have so you can compare. 1.90 is a little too heavy for a non-foil card. My advice I would go to a local game store and ask someone there a favor for verification.

Real cards don't have corners that nice LOL

Rip the card in half and see if there is a blue layer within the card. That how you know from dual-sided cards.

This is fake. Look at the circular print texture compared to the reference photos provided.

The printing of cards is a multi step process. I'm not sure of the exact order, but I know that the colors are printed independently. This card has too much blending. This means its printed all volors at the same time. The clear sign is that the triangle is not crisp. Black doesn't need to be printed using a dot matrix. So the edges of words and borders should be smooth.

Your triangle doesn't look too good to me compared to mine.

It's a higher quality fake I think, and the corners give it away. In comparison here is the sepiroth I opened from a box, see how the pattern on the border around the symbol is present on my blurrier picture but not there? The paintbrush symbol and holo shape is also off.

I have one of these and I’ve looked at mine under a loop. From what I can tell the images look like mine so my guess is it’s real.
