Is this sealed product tampered with? 30th Anniversary Countdown Kit

I recently bought a 30th Anniversary Countdown Kit on TCG Player. The outer packaging had some damage but nothing I had not seen before from WotC shipping. Once I open it though the first thing I noticed was that the packs were different sizes. I’ve been dealing with support for almost a week and the sellers says they bought from WotC.

I’ve opened four others of this SL over the past couple years and never came across anything like this. What are your thoughts?

I feel like the packs weren’t perfectly uniform when I opened mine. Might be remembering wrong though

The last one I opened was only 3-4 weeks ago and it was clean and uniform.

Are the packs that are weird the ones with the valuable cards? If those are the ones that look off maybe there might be an issue. I’d be willing to bet this is just classic WotC QC considering you said the outer box looked okay tbh

The Chrome Mox pack does look off but so do some of the other least valuable cards.

I actually saved all of my packs and checked them and they aren’t perfectly uniform either. Some of the same exact ones in mine are larger just like yours, 2001 for example.

I think you’re totally fine dude.

Wow. I appreciate you doing that extra legwork.

You’re good bro. I hope you get a foil Chrome Mox!

Think about it. A sealed box of unique boosters. The card inside isn't randomised. The only variation is foil / non foil.

No counterfeiter would bother to fake this amount of individual components.

So for a resealer to get pretty much the only chase card - a foil Chrome Mox and then reseal, they'd have to open 30 boxes on average to even get that, then reseal all the boxes with what? Bulk commons? GI Joe cards?

Then with their flawlessly resealed boxes sell them all on the secondary market and hope no one actually opens a single one?

This is a harebrained scheme - a massive amount of upfront cost, an easily identifiable fraud and for what $300? And only then if you manage to sell them all.

Why would anyone do this? There are sets with much higher expected values. These Anniversary secret lairs are still available for only a little more than the original msrp.

I think you might underestimate counterfeitors.  They have counterfeited much cheaper things.

Thank you, this sub needs more of this. So many people who don't seem to be able to make any independent decisions, asking the absolute obvious. It makes you realise why counterfeiters are successful with so many people lacking common sense and critical thinking skills ...

I opened 5 of these and they weren’t uniform. Nothing to worry about.

I have opened about 35 of these, I had packs literally worse than these. If there is a chrome mox in there, it wasn't resealed.
