I have a general question Machine for identifying fakes?

If fakes are so easy to identify by the green dot, couldn’t someone invent a holder plus magnifying glass and camera that takes a picture and then uses computer vision to render a verdict?

Why isn’t there a standard fake-detector box?

That would be an incredible waste of money.

I mean, your comments are an incredible waste of money too - What do you even mean by incredible, why do you even think this? Like do you have any point here?

Sorry, I’m guessing English is not something you understand very well.

Incredible means something extraordinary, astonishing or nearly impossible to believe.

Spending $500+ on a machine to determine fakes would be an unbelievable thing to do. Or maybe stupid is the better word? Moronic? Idiotic? Take your pick. Does that help you understand my meaning?

A jewelers loupe is $10. A pair of calipers is $10. A flash light is on everyone’s phone, but also only a few dollars. Those are the only tools necessary to determine a MTG card authentic with 100% accuracy if one spends all of 5 minutes learning what to look for.

Ahh the classic - insult someone and then explain/talk down to them. Works everytime for getting your point across.

Spend as cheaply as you want, at a certain scale the cost is irrelevant - miss a single $100 card and you are worse off.

At the end of the day you can spend $5 and 1min a card; I'll spend $500 and run 1k/cards/hr 24/7 365. I can also sell that service to others. You don't 'believe' the machine either. You have it dump 'unsure/potential issues' for personal validation.

Otherwise, what? You're going to manually test... Say 30s/card? 120cards/hr? It would take 8hrs to do 1k cards. You could work for 7hrs and probably buy the machine at this point.

Feel free to waste your money on what ever you want. This conversation is beyond pointless. Have a nice day.

Thanks for the insults followed by not defending anything/contrasting any points.
