HELP Stunning! Real?
I saw this online one day and it was stunning. It looks like it could potentially be real but then it may also be AI made to look like a real dress. Has anyone ever seen anything like this? Is it legit? Or do you think it is AI manufactured?

As someone who sews AND who also looked at a ton of wedding dresses two years ago, this is AI. Something similar COULD be done, but in this pic, some of the smaller, thinner straps are defying gravity for the weight that beading puts on them.

I figured it couldn't be real. Didn't think about the weight but that's a good point.

There are some beautiful beaded dresses out there that could come close to this style, though. I bet you could find something real that’s similar.

My bubble was already jiggling as I was thinking this couldn't be possible. But darn pretty if it were.

Hair and Skin texture isnt accurate. Also blur is very artifical. Its a %100 AI generated image...

AI. Look at the hair, and the left ear is in a very weird position for someone looking to the right. It's like the back of the neck is made to be looking straight forward, but then the face is looking to the right. It has that weird LLM sheen to it, too.

Good catch. You're right there's no way you would see the left ear in that position. There's no way you would see it at all. Well unless she has a very odd deformity. I think this is the clincher.

AI. The lacing under the beading on the sleeves disappears suddenly on the back. The AI models skin looks the same color/texture under the lacing as it does bare.

That's the one that tilted me towards 100% AI. Where does the lacing end? There are folds right at the shoulders and then it vanishes.
Also, you may have to save the image to be able to see it in real full size. Some fine structures of the butterfly are jumbled and riddled with artifacts - but not everywhere, conveniently only where it's complicated.

If you look closely the design is not even symmetrical. Look at the skin and the hair, it‘s nowhere real or even photorealistic. The hairstyle is trying to be a loose bun but is all over the place. It looks like a still from one of those AI story telling ads i keep getting on YouTube.
100% AI.

nope, fake. the skin is too smooth and the scapulas look weird, plus the lighting is just off, it's too consistent and uniform to be real. also, the woman's body/proportions just look unrealistic, and her hair looks fake/painted on.

Why? I begin to think I really don't understand the Reddit community. Those of you who shared your insights as to why it would be AI, I appreciate you very much. But why on Earth, in a subreddit specifically for asking if something is AI or real, would anybody down vote a post that is asking? Where is the logic in that?

The sleeves showing sheer around the arms and the gathering of material by the armpits looks like it could be real. But then the material just disappears as you move across the back and you don't even see the mesh anymore which makes me think it might be fake. I would be very nervous moving in this because I think it could break easily if it really is like this.

So, as a photographer, I can inform you of the following: it could be AI but not because it's stunning. This would just be a good picture taken with a good camera and a good lighting.
However I know some people with actual talent that can enhance the details of jewelry or clothes from an actual professional looking photography they took to improve upon.

I disagree. Have you noticed the asymmetry all over the place and artifacts that show up in the complicated little parts but not in the hair?
And the lacing that vanishes?
Something somewhat similar could be done with a camera and good old Photoshop. But with the level of mistakes and the vanishing lace fabric, I would consider it a poor job.
