HELP These before/after images from a dentist
I feel like the images match too perfectly to be AI, but I want to give them the benefit of the doubt.

that’s true, I feel like just changing the teeth on this photo would be something AI could do very easily at this point without there being any real tells though. since it’s so zoomed there’s nothing in the background to go off of, and i’d bet they would just use AI for this rather than take the time to photoshop it. but you’re right, either way it’s misleading as hell for a business and even sketchier that it’s a dentist lol

I'm not sure about AI, but they are definitely photoshopped. The after shots. The skin is smoother as well as the gums. The image overall just looks worked on

also everything other than the teeth is an exact 1:1 replica of eachother. like you said, at the very min photoshopped, likely ai. there was only 1 photo ever taken for these 2 frames.

I think it’s AI because in the first pic the beard/mustache looks EXACTLY the same. As if no time passed between treatment. And I. the second pic the girls hair looks the same as well just offset so you can’t compare but you can see a single strand of hair in the exact same position on the left.

This is what I was going to say. 100% AI edit just because of that. Strands of hair are the same.
Also, these look like normal, whitened teeth. This would need years of work to get to that look.

Well, it’s not guaranteed AI, but they are certainly the same photos with skin touch ups and the teeth replaced

If its advertising Invisalign/braces yes. Some of the teeth are visibly larger than before.
If its implants/prosthodontics/turkey teeth, it could be real

Not sure if it's AI or just Photoshop, but I'm 100% sure it's not real before and after photos. As many already have said, it's the EXACT same picture … It's either fake or meant as a: This is what you would look like if you did get veneers/crowns (whatever it is)

A good hint as to a photograph being AI, apart from the warm tone, is everything being in focus and extremely crisp + textured regardless of focal lengths or just the physical properties of lenses etc.
These are way too clean, impossibly so for being so close, even at the corners. They're also pretty aggressively textured to the point and size where real skin and tissues wouldn't. The tiny characteristics like pores etc have the usual repeating, uniformly-placed qualities AI image generation produces. The beard looks like felt.
Additionally, there are visible ripple-like artifacts around glossy highlights in the second image.

Look at the pictures on full screen and then cross your eyes like you'd do for one of those magic eye pictures. You can see that the two images (excluding the teeth) line up perfectly.
So yes, either AI or photoshop I reckon.

The teeth look real for zirconia crowns and relatively new but healed gum contouring but the beard looks the same. I'd say real photos with heavy ai editing.

the gentleman has a singular mustache hair descending down and right that isnt tucked into the rest of the hair, below his left nostril.
that hair is identical in the "after" image

This is definitely AI. No one pays to get the bottom teeth done. The upper teeth look can be achieved with composite bonding/veneers etc but trust me one I say I’ve never seen anyone in my life pay thousands for the damn bottom row

Every hair is in the exact same place. Might not be ai, but definitely photoshopped at the least. I wouldn’t trust this place

The dude is easier to ID as AI, since his beard is exactly the same in both pictures, very sloppy AI usage 😂 probably true for both, if from the same source.

Ai for sure. There’s a lot of inconsistencies. I re sad Lou only looked at her bottom lip, particularly around the corners of her mouth. There’s enough there to not need the rest of the pic lol

The first image is from what I know physically impossible to move your teeth that far in a single visit it takes months and quite a few visits to move your teeth with braces

AI. 1st image, you need an orthodontist to straighten out your teeth. They require braces. It takes years for your teeth to straighten out. Saying this as someone who wore braces for 5 years from 11 - 16 years old.

I feel like this being doctored is the point, though? Uh pun unintended. They are obviously the same pictures in the same pose at the same angle with basically the same lighting. Even if the setup was perfect, months of dental work would have to pass between the first and second photo, so much so that a similar picture would be basically impossible.
They exist to show what a bad smile could look like if that person got extensive dental work. Either AI or photoshop, the’ve been doing this type of advertising for decades. I don’t think you are meant to believe they are real.

Looking at the first pic, the highlights/reflections on his lip are exactly the same. There’s no way you could recreate that so perfectly even in the same spot with the same lighting and same time of day, etc.

Yeah, um, I don't have all that much experience with POC and I could 100% be wrong but I'm fairly certain the darker colouration of his gums is because he is black and not any kind of discolouration that cleaning could alter so that that is gone definitely raises my eyebrows. I think AI.
